It's time for doggie secret Santa. We will once again be running a secret Santa gift exchange the week of December 16 during daycare. To participate, if your dog is attending daycare (or boarding) that week, please bring a wrapped gift valued $15 or less by 12/12. To help accommodate sensitive tummies, the gift can be either toy or treat; please label the gift "toy" or "treat" to help us distinguish. Each dog will get their turn to choose a gift to take home.

New this year, we have partnered with Hoover's Hause to help bring Christmas cheer to the dogs at the rescue. You can be a secret Santa to a dog not yet adopted by sending an extra wrapped gift. We will bring the donated gifts to Hoover's Hause during the week of Christmas. If you are a boarding customer who is not here during Christmas but still wish to participate in making a dog's Christmas more merry, you can drop a gift off here before 12/20 to include with those we will be dropping off at Hoover's Hause.

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spent the long holiday weekend soaking up time with family and counting our blessings: one of them is you and your dogs. Thank you all for sharing your lives (and your pups) with us! We are so grateful for it all.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the event last weekend to benefit Hoover's Hause. In total, between the auction, raffle and donations, we generated $4505 in donations that will go directly to Hoover's Hause! Wow!!! Plus, two of the three dogs who were here meeting people were adopted. That is what we call success.

A special thank you to the businesses who donated items for the auction and who supplied food and drinks for the event: Sideliners, Eagle Public Market, Cherry Pie Band, Piper Road Spring Band, Pantzlaff Electric, Clients at Rancho Del Rio Riding Academy, Hanson's IGA East Troy, Lauderdale Lakes Country Club and Salon Reneu.

To the numerous customers who donated auction items, food and drinks - thank you! We couldn't have done it without you.

And a call out to the planning board (Jeanne, Bill, Laura, Dana and Katie), who brought great ideas and enthusiasm and auction donations to make this event work. Thank you all for helping to make this event so successful.
