Our pal Chloe had an eye injury recently that needs to heal undisturbed and untouched. For some reason, her parent didn’t want an e-collar to match 🤔. Good thing they’re only temporary! 🩵

We are thankful for Jennifer’s knowledgeable presence, as she holds an Animal Science degree from K-State. She has great technical skills, loves surgery, and has three cats of her own. She’s a great asset in all areas of the clinic, and we’re grateful to have her on our team! Thank you, Jennifer! 👏🏼🤍

November is Senior Pet Month! We have an exciting story about Duke below ⬇️
•
Rat poison is highly toxic to more than just rats! 🐀☣️ Always make sure it is kept out of reach of pets and children. Duke unfortunately got into some rat poison, which severely affected his nervous system. He was hospitalized like a stroke patient for over a week, as he was unable to walk. He also developed bed sores once he returned home, due to his mobility issues.

After 3-4 weeks of physical therapy and waiting for the poison to exit his system, Duke is doing much better! It’s been a long process for him and his owner, but we were very excited to see him at his re-check and were pleased to see him walk in and out of the clinic on his own 💙 Way to go, Duke!

🍫 Do NOT feed pets Halloween treats! It’s not always clear what toxic substances may be included

🪪 Make sure your pets have identification, in case of escape

🎃 Keep decorations out of reach of pets, including Jack-o-lanterns and candles

🦸🏻‍♂️ Be very cautious with costume pieces for both humans and pets

😱 Keep your pet safe and away from strangers at your door if they have a tendency to get frightened and/or bite
