Saving animals from euthanasia... Together, we save lives! M.A.I.N. Shelter staff around the state work very closely with us for the success of this mission.

is an Arizona based 501(c)3 all volunteer group focused on identifying, transporting, aiding and promoting animals from Arizona shelters who need immediate and sometimes costly medical attention the shelters are unable to provide. Shelters are overwhelmed, and sadly any available space must be given to healthy, adoptable animals. is here for the injured and the sick that stand no chance at all of

being rescued in these shelters. We have developed close working relationships with shelters around the state, and staff regularly call to alert us to an animal that needs our help. We are available to these shelters and to these dogs 24/7 – and since our beginning in 2012, hundreds have been saved from euthanasia as a result. Therefore, no negativity of any kind will be tolerated on this page. We are seeking positive solutions to the current overpopulation problems we face in Maricopa County and beyond. The primary vet for the animals in our care is Bethany Animal Hospital (BAH)

Meet Puffy! The newest M.A.I.N. boy.💗
Puffy was set to be put to sleep due to a heart murmur. He will need a visit with our cardiologist, and that’s expensive and something the shelter can’t afford.😥
Puffy is a 5-year-old Yorkie mix who weighs only 7 pounds. He is cute as can be, happy, and gets along well with his resident siblings. 💗
We will keep you updated on his cardiology appointment next week.

We need help. Cardiology appointments and workups are not cheap. They’ll cost $700 or more. We do have the money for his initial appointment, which is next week, but beyond that, we will be stretching the budget. 😵‍💫

Meet Puffy! The newest M.A.I.N. boy.💗

JoJo is ready for a family.

JoJo came into M.A.I.N. with some terrible skin problems. He had raw areas, dark thick areas, patches without fur, and open sores. He was extremely itchy and getting worse. He got in to see our partner vet at Heidi’s Village and was put on a treatment plan which worked wonderfully. Now, he’s looking for the perfect family.

JoJo is a 1.5 year old, 25 or so pound Pug. He’s pretty kicked back yet loves to play, is loving, obviously handsome, and ready to be adopted.

JoJo has been neutered, microchipped, licensed with Maricopa County, and is up to date on vaccines.

Once each pup has its follow-up appointment and is cleared by our partner vet at Heidi’s Village, they’ll go to their new family. There are five boys and one girl. Right now, the boys weigh 6.8 lbs. to 4.13 lbs. The female weighs 4 lbs. Applications will be reviewed in a first come, first served process. Get them in, folks. Maggie is wondering why no one has adopted her yet. 🧐 This little girl is a Chihuahua mix and so very cute. She’s about 2 1/2 years old and weighs in at 6 pounds. Maggie was taken to the shelter as a stray dog and the shelter vets believe she had been hit by a car. She has recovered from Tick Fever. She has Valley Fever but you would never know it. She takes Fluconazole, and due to her small size, her meds are very inexpensive. She may or may not need to be on medication for life. Every dog is different when it comes to Valley Fever. What we DO know is that Maggie is a fantastic girl. Her foster mom describes her as so happy and loving. She’s house trained and rarely barks. She loves other dogs and tolerates the cat in the house.
