The City is collaborating with a group of Mr. Wiley's students to install a sturdier fence at the dog park. The 5K is a fundraiser for the matching money for a grant.

If a 5K is not your thing then you can still purchase these cute T-shirts!

Dog Park users: The City is trying to determine what to do with the Dog Park over the winter. We are concerned that the fence may not stand up well to below-zero temperatures and high winds. The current build-up of leaves seems to already be bending it a little (the material can tolerate a certain amount of bend - the concern is once it is very cold will it tolerate bending.) The other concern is plowing snow within the fenced area. And it would not be high on the priority list to shovel the gates so we would leave a shovel and hope the first person who came in could clear the gates.

Please call with input or comment below - should we take down the fence for the winter? Before the first snow fall until March-ish? Thank you!

We have been asked to remind residents to pick up after their dogs. This means any property that is not your own yard -if your dog uses the neighbor's yard, or the park, or the sidewalks. Even if you think your dog is small and doesn't leave a big mess, please pick it up. Lots of little messes = one big mess.
