Ranch News From The Whitakers

Howdy! Just got back from one of my favorite ranch chores, checking on the steers way out on the range. The aroma of the sage after our latest downpour was wonderful. It was exciting to finally find the steers peacefully grazing in lush spring grass. Tonight we are looking forward to our daughter and grandson coming to visit and Grandma is making our favorite French Dip that we would like to share with you.



Put your favorite 3 lb roast in a crockpot - we use Chuck Roast





Rub these spices into it:









tsp. Rosemary

tsp. Thyme

tsp. Crushed Fresh Garlic

3-4 Pepper Corns

Add 2 cups of water and 1/2 cup soy sauce or liquid aminos, plus a bay leaf

Cook on high for 5- 6 hours

We serve on fresh French bread and dip in the crock pot liquid
