Healing Spirit Animal Wellness Center is a progressive, integrative small animal practice located on the North Coast of California midway between Eureka and Arcata. Situated on 5 acres of land among majestic redwoods, we are minutes away from the beach, access to Humboldt Bay, Old Town Eureka, and numerous hiking trails in the forest, marshland, and coastline.
Practice Overview
Healing Spirit Animal Wellness provides integrative medical care to cats, dogs, and rabbits. We offer a broad range of medical, dental, and surgical services, complementary and alternative therapies, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, laser therapy, chiropractic, and hydrotherapy with an underwater treadmill. We have an expanded in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and CT imaging to guide diagnosis and help us provide the most appropriate treatment. We are committed to providing high quality, individualized care to our patients while continuously expanding our knowledge base and skills.

What You’ll Be Working On
●Assisting veterinarians with all aspects of patient care, including exams, surgery, dentistry, and various forms of therapy
●Monitoring patients before, during and after anesthesia
●Care and monitoring of hospitalized patients
●Updating medical records and communicating with clients
●Assisting with training and mentoring of veterinary assistants
●Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
●Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California or VTNE eligible
●Minimum of two years of experience working as a veterinary technician
●Demonstrated passion for patient care and client service
●Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
●Team player with the ability to work independently to meet goals and objectives
●Strong commitment to ethics and integrity
●Must be flexible availability on evenings and weekends
