Having a business in downtown Farmington, we see a lot of people who are experiencing homelessness. In June, I decided to do something to help. I started volunteering and getting to know each individual and understanding their circumstances. Since then, I have met over 150 Homies Without Homes and have continued to support them in getting their lives back on track. Recently, I created a non-profit board with like minded people to not only help the homies, but to also end the stigma that comes with being homeless. It is something that weighs heavy on my heart, and I'm grateful to have such an awesome job that allows me to have the extra time to volunteer for this cause. This week, 50% of my earnings will be going to the Adopt a Homie Christmas fund. I feel that nobody should go without a Christmas present. This not only brings people hope, but lets them know they're cared about and have people who want to see them succeed. If this is something you'd like to help with, please let me know. Today marks 15 years that I have owned this business! It has been the most wonderful adventure and to say that I have the best job would be an understatement. I love your pet pals as if they were my own, and my heart is overwhelmed knowing that I get to be part of their care team. Thank you all for your continued support throughout the last 15 years, I couldn't have done it without you. Here's to another 15!
