🚨 **URGENT: Help Needed for Dogs in Isolation!** 🚨

As of 5:30 pm today, we are out of space in isolation. We have around 15 dogs in foster and we desperately need placement for these pups. These dogs only need a foster for **two weeks** to recover. Please share to help save them!

These dogs are all sweet souls who deserve a chance to recover and find a loving home. If you or someone you know can foster them for just two weeks, please reach out to us at Cumberland County Animal Services. They are in desperate need of your support!

‼️ADOPTERS OR RESCUES! Mojo needs your help‼️

Mojo is 5 months old, he came in with several of his siblings. As of Friday, he presented with mild ataxia and our vet is ynsure if it is a temporary issue, congenital, or progressive. As of today, he is continuing to lose his balance and is seemingly uncoordinated.

We really need to find placement for Mojo, as being in a shelter definitely isn’t the place for him. If you can help, please email [email protected]

This adorable piglet is ready for adoption! She’s very fearful and will need a home with someone who has experience or has thoroughly researched pig care. While she may be small now, she won’t stay this size, so it’s important to understand her growing needs. If you’re prepared to provide the care and socialization she requires, please visit the shelter to meet her!

One of our longest residents, Alice, spent some time in the yard with a friend today! This girl has been here for far too long!! Her cherry eye is an easy fix, but we think that’s why she’s being overlooked. She’s a small gal, only about 40lbs. Alice is (obviously) friendly with other dogs. RICO is RESCUE ONLY and needs out ASAP. We have no open kennels. He is 1 year old, heartworm negative, and appears to be friendly with other dogs. Rico is rescue only because he nipped a person on the foot. The bite was very minor.

See these 4 faces? Do you know what they have in common?

ALL four of these guys are 6-9 months old, dog friendly, heartworm negative and ALL FOUR came into our shelter injured. These guys are in desperate need of placement. With the end of summer drawing near, rescues are full and they are stuck in a shelter. Each of them have varying types of leg injuries, all have a broken legs but different degrees of breaks and will need individualized care plans. We are keeping them comfortable with medication but they all need vet care that we are unable to provide to correct their injuries. *These pups did NOT come in together*

Hi everyone, it's Daisy! 🌟 I had an absolute blast at the Woodpeckers game during Waggin' Wednesday, meeting all of you and your adorable pets. 🐶🐱 It was so much fun hanging out with our adoptable pets at the Mobile Adoption Unit. They loved all the attention and belly rubs!

I want to remind you that we have just 3 days left of our **Clear the Shelter** event. This is the perfect time to find your new best friend! 🏡❤️

Drum roll please. . . . the big announcement!! Did you guess right?!

We are thrilled to announce that we are participating in an Angel Spay & Neuter Day thanks to Stand Up For Pits Foundation, Inc. This Angel Day will cover the cost of surgery, an e collar, and post-op pain medication for 20 pit bull type dogs on October 1st.

Annie is roughly a 1.5 year old ball of energy. Annie came to me, with a hole in her neck from an unknown injury. She was held at animal control to see if her owners would show up and unfortunately, no one ever did. She was placed on the euthanasia list, so my family decided we wanted to foster and save her. She had surgery to fix the hole in her neck, and has since healed up beautifully. We are use to senior dogs, so her energy has been a new experience for my family.

Now that she has healed from her neck injury and spay, she is ready to join an active household. She has been dying to play with my old chihuahuas, but they are not at the same energy level. She seems to be overly interested in cats. We have 1 cat and she makes sure Annie knows who is boss. Annie is highly food motivated and eager to cuddle and please. She is crate trained and seems to be house broken. If she is let out, she will use the bathroom and do well. She loves to play fetch, although she doesn't fully get the return the ball to me concept.

Found this morning on I-95, please contact us ASAP! Unaltered male, no microchip. Appears to have been well cared for. He appears to have a leg injury, which we are currently assessing and medicating him to keep him comfortable.

‼️ RESCUES!!!! ‼️Candy’s puppies have tested positive for Parvo and we need rescue for them by tomorrow morning. We realize that this is a last minute cry for help but they have been asymptomatic until this afternoon and tested positive shortly thereafter. We are devastated as our staff have grown attached to them and Candy and watched them grow for nearly 2 months.

*We DO NOT want to euthanize this family but will be left with no choice if we cannot find placement. Parvo is highly contagious and we cannot risk exposing our population.

Glenn is a 1 year old chihuahua mix. He came into our shelter as a stray and has a broken femur. He warms up after a bit but can be a little nippy, most likely due to him being uncomfortable. We are controlling his pain while in our care, but he needs permanent placement by 8/22/24.

Sunny is in need of URGENT rescue. Final hold date 5/16 at 5pm. She came into our shelter as a stray that was hit by a car. Her leg is broken and most likely needs amputation. She is not wanting to eat despite our efforts. 501c3 RESCUES: email [email protected]

RESCUED thank you US Dog Coalition & Rescue Antonio is a 14 week old puppy who came to our shelter with two broken legs. Our vet has splinted his legs and is hopeful that this is easily corrected and can be re-splinted as needed. For now, our vet does not think the puppy will need surgery to repair his legs.
