BEHAVIOR
02-09-16 Tried to bite other dog in the face during intro
02/11/16 09:49 This animal was extremely animal agressive upon impound; growling, baring teeth, lunging and slamming into the kennel doors repeatedly trying to bite any and every animal he passed by while being kenneled. He also nearly re-directed on staff as they were placing him in his kennel.
No play style was noted for this dog. The dog was an easy kennel pull soft demeanor and exited wing well. in groups the dog was indifferent with most dogs but could be selective with some dogs. The dog is deaf was at kennel making all kind of noises the dog only noticed me when he looked up. The dog needs to be taught communication skills so he can better communicate with people.
04/26/17 13:39 Owner/Foster stated dog was highly aggressive but after dog was in kennel a coworker went to the kennel and the dog was wagging tail
with soft demeanor coming up to kennel for interaction. According to Owner/Foster dog is deaf.
04/29/17 15:13 I asked a trusted volunteer to take this dog to get pics and video for networking purposes since the dog is deaf I wanted to see if we could get the dog to a rescue that could work with his special issue. The volunteer took the dog out and had the dog in parking lot when another volunteer came up to interact with this dog and the dog started growling, and lunging trying to bite the volunteer. I asked our lead if he could get the dog out to see what he thinks. He went and got the dog and walked it on the ramp approaching staff with no issues. He then brought the dog in the office and I was petting and playing with the dog when out of nowhere the dog turned his head growling and bit down on my arm applying medium pressure. (Lead) pulled dog back and down out of office; (Lead) then stated the dog was to be placed on E as unpredictable and not safe for adoption.
04/29/17 It was witnessed by DPFL and volunteers that as this dog was out side it lunged and snaped to bite a volunteer. I was interacting with the dog on the ramp. I petted him and he was fine. another staff member was petting the dog and he was okay. Suddenly with out warning the dog lunged and started snapping with a wide open mouth trying to bite staff. The animal gave no warning before doing so. Okay to
HPTD due to human aggression.
