Boarding dogs and stress: A kennel is a new environment. Dogs are surrounded by new friends, smells, environment, etc. It can be very stressful and scary. Though we treat everyones pup with love, not all dogs handle this stress the same. Most do great!! There are a few who don't handle it as well. They can develop stress colitis and have vomiting and diarrhea. As much as we would love to prevent this, it isn't always possible. Way to help: Bring their food, so they don't get an upset tummy from food change. Bring a favorite blankie or bed from home that has your smell on it. If you dog is really sensitive, your vet can prescribe something to help. Help us make you fur kids stay as easy and comfortable as possible. We love them and want them to be as happy as possible.
