🌞☀️ As summer approaches, we all know it’s going to get hotter not just for us but for our furry friends too! Let’s make sure to keep everyone safe and happy during those sunny walks. Here are some tips and tricks to ensure your pet’s safety this summer:

1. Stay Hydrated: Always carry water for your pet during walks, and make sure they have access to fresh water at home.
2. Watch the Pavement: Hot pavement can burn your pet’s paw pads. Try walking them in the cooler parts of the day or on grassy areas.
3. Provide Shade: Whether you’re out in the yard or on a walk, make sure your pet has access to shade to avoid overheating.
4. Never Leave in a Hot Car: Even with windows cracked, cars can quickly become dangerously hot for pets. Never leave them in a parked car during hot weather.
5. Protect from Pests: Use pet-safe repellents to protect against fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes, which are more active in warmer weather.

This is why we offer puppy pre-school in Fort Mohave, AZ! Let's get your pups out there safely before 4 mos (*carrying them until fully vaccinated!) Don't overwhelm them. Everything in moderation. https://frontharness.com/training/

Puppy socialisation is NOT just about playing with other dogs. In fact, too much uncontrolled exposure to other dogs can cause so many unintended consequences.

If you have a puppy, make sure you try to work on ALL aspects of socialisation, as listed in the bottom graphic.
