The adorable 💫Cane💫 came in this morning and signed up on a wellness plan with us!

He was very nervous but extra cute and 💞loved💞 our PCA Ashley!

Our VA Chelsie fed him lots of puppy treats and he quickly warmed up to them! 🤗

Cane got all of his vaccinations, a f***l w/ a deworm and his little nails trimmed -- we can't wait to see his cute little face in 3 weeks for his next set of boosters!

Kaloni has been with us as a VA for about 6 months. Kaloni is married with 3 fur babies & a turtle, during her free time she prefers to be with family & friends.

Marshmellow is a whole 2.38 pounds!

This little stinker came in today and met Dr. Marks & the team!
His humans also signed him up on a wellness plan! That means we get to see him every 3 weeks for the next few months!

💫 Preventing Heartworms--

Heartworms are the only type of parasitic worm that is transmitted via a mosquito.

When a mosquito carrying immature heartworm bites your pet, they are transferred to your pet’s bloodstream where they make their way to the blood vessels serving their heart and lungs. Once here, they mature and grow into adults that are able to produce offspring. Each heartworm can grow up to 12 inches in length and as their numbers grow, they will begin to stop normal blood flow around your pet’s body.

Fortunately, there are a number of different heartworm preventatives, although these are only available on prescription from your veterinarian. Some preventatives will only protect against heartworms, while some others will also prevent other parasites such as intestinal worms, fleas, and ticks. Your veterinarian will be able to advise you which is most appropriate for your pet.

Bailee recently moved to Texas w/ her husband while he is on deployment. Ms. Bailee loves her dog Mahi (first photo pictured) and she loves to fish, and spend time outdoors.

Always make sure to keep your family at home where they belong, microchipping your pets helps bring them back to where they belong!

Another helpful tip, if you ever find a pet you can bring them in to your local Banfield or any pet hospital to get checked for a chip! We have reunited many lost pets. Microchipping your pet could help bring them home in the event that they got out or have been lost.

Sam was one of the sweetest boys to be around at the clinic today, he was such a delight! He was giving us all the love and kisses!
Sam was recently rescued and is estimated to be 5-6 years old, he loves toys and hugs!

Sam also signed up on a wellness plan today, and got all of his vaccines, his blood work, and his heartworm prevention! ;)
We love the good boys here at Ridgmar!! 💗💖
