Little field trip to the vet and then Antebellums. They slept in the stroller most of the time but were very hungry when they woke up.

I got the 2 kittens to eat. However, the black kitten is having the same problems as the one who died last night. I don’t think he will make it another hour. The other kitten has taken a good amount of milk. Can crawl around and screams.

We lost one of the kittens last night. He was struggling to take in air. Blood came from his mouth and nose. Momma is not feeding the babies. So I will start feeding them when the stores open so I can get some milk replacer. I hope they can hold on. Little black kitten eye was filthy so I cleaned it. It is still oozing. Hoping it will stop soon.

BREAKING NEWS: The City of Austin Government just voted (unanimously) to ban the practice of cat declawing! Declawing is a painful and unnecessary surgical procedure in which the cat's toes are amputated at the last joint, often causing life-long health and behavioral issues.

This is Brisco, now Joe. I rescued him after my neighbors abandon him. He was in such bad shape. I couldn’t bring him in until I raised enough money to take him to the vet. He had worms, conjunctivitis, and a rare disease. His medical bills were a little short of $1000. Then they told me there was little hope for him and to put him down. But I decided I’d let him live his final days with me and my cats. They all slept together and played together. I remember we had days where he couldn’t move, would use the bathroom on himself, wouldn’t eat or drink and go stiff. Eventually he started getting better, putting on weight, and was a normal healthy cat again. After I was confident he was gonna be okay I found him a forever home. Now he is Joe and has the perfect cat dad for his needs, and lives a happy healthy life.

My inspiration my reason. I found Roast on a trip to Houston. I was at a coffee shop with a friend and she shouted there is a kitten running across the road. We ran outside and he collapsed. I wont get into graphic details but it was bad. I could tell he was suffering from heat exhaustion. I had taken care of kittens many times before and knew what to do. I spent my entire day trying to bring some life back into him. I was almost sure he was going to die. He was flea infested and could hardly stay awake. I took him back home with me and expected the worst the first week. He amazingly pulled through and has been in my life for a year and a half now. Since then I have had more confidence in taking care of cats, especially kittens, who need help. I’ve also learned many things along the way and now I plan on going back to school to be a vet tech, while still saving the kitties, one kitty (some times two) at a time 🥰

This baby needs a home! His name is Mamoru. He was found in a parking lot at an apartment and was brought to me. He’s about 5 months, has his first round of shots and can be fixed in a month. He’s playful, cuddly and loves to eat and p**p. He’s a very sweet boy. Still plays a little rough with other cats but they get along. Responds well to clapping when he’s doing something wrong. He doesn’t tend to use his claws with people unless you play to rough. I don’t support kitten playing with hands anyway. He’s vocal when he wants something and looks good in a red collar. I can bring him for a meet up in dfw or Weatherford area if anyone is interested. Please share to help find him a home ❤️
