❗❗More pets go missing around the 4th of July than any other time of year, and noisy fireworks are to blame. In our Country a 30-60% increase in lost pets each year between July 4th and 6th is seen. ❗❗

⚠️Urgent Plea for Rosco!!⚠️🐾🩷

Rosco came to us about 2 months ago, since then he is losing himself! He is a happy, energetic dog who is just a year old! However as we all know the shelter is not a ideal place for any animal!🥺 Rosco is taking it exceptionally hard.😥 He gets more and more stressed out as the days fly by! The shelter is taking a toll on this young pup! We try to get him outside and on adventures as much as possible!☀️ Whether it be walks, extended yard time, doggy day outs or even car rides!! But we can only do so much! Rosco Is an amazing dog who isnt reacting well to the shelter environment much like our other animals too!!

He is begging you to give him a chance! You won't regret it! He deserves a home to call his own! A yard to have daily adventures!!!🏠🐾

If you can't adopt please consider fostering him to get him out of the shelter! Even if it isn't longterm!!!

If you can't adopt or foster, please come visit him!! Take him on a walk, or a doggy day out!! HE IS CRAVING LOVE AND ATTENTION! 🥺🩷

Meet Phoenix. She was struck by two vehicles on I-69 on Friday, April 5, 2024. Deputies with the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident and chose to seek help for Phoenix’s injuries. Dr. Zimmer and his wife Susie at Pokagon Vet Hospital have provided care, but Phoenix needs to go to Fort Wayne for two surgeries to repair a broken pelvis. Her prognosis is good if she receives treatment. Despite our best efforts, her owners have not been located. A foster is lined up to help her through the recovery process. Funds are needed upfront to cover the cost of the surgeries. The Community Humane Shelter of a Steuben County has set up a fund to collect donations for Phoenix’s medical expenses. Any additional funds raised beyond her cost of care will be held to assist local families in need with veterinary services.

Donations can be dropped off at the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office or the Community Humane Shelter of Steuben County.
