🚧 TEMPORARY CURBSIDE SERVICES 🚧
We are thrilled to share that exciting changes are underway at Fryeburg Veterinary Hospital. Starting Monday, September 23rd, 2024, we'll be embarking on a journey to bring you a bigger and better clinic for you and your furry friends! During this process, we will be operating with CURBSIDE SERVICES until construction has been completed. Just give us a call to let us know that you’re in the parking lot, and we’ll come and grab your pet to bring inside for their visit. We ask that you stay in your vehicle for your safety.
Our renovation plans include expanding our facilities by turning existing space into two new exam rooms! We’ll also be incorporating some new state-of-the-art technology and creating a more welcoming environment for you and your pets. These improvements aim to elevate the level of care and services we provide to you and your beloved pets.
Rest assured; we will continue providing uninterrupted care throughout the renovation process! Thank you for your continued support and trust. We'll be sure to keep you up-to-date on our progress, and we can't wait for you to see the new and improved Fryeburg Veterinary Hospital!

Attention Pet Owners! Starting August 1st, new travel requirements for pets are coming into effect. This is especially important for those planning to travel to Canada. Compliance with these requirements is crucial to avoid any travel disruptions. All *international* furry travelers will need a microchip and a current Rabies vaccine. Appointment must take place at least 30 days in advance. Call us with at least 2 months' notice to ensure we can evaluate your pet's status in time. Let’s make sure our pets are safe and ready for their adventures!

Sadie presented to FVH for sneezing events that developed a few weeks prior, upon examination we found a stick lodged in her nose. After a quick sedation the stick is out and Saide can go on enjoying her summer!

🦴 MEET NICOLE! 😍 Nicole has been a member of our FVH family since late 2023, and in veterinary medicine for about five years prior. She really found her passion in this field after volunteering for a number of years at a rescue, and ultimately falling in love with every animal she ever met. Nikki is currently in school to become a licensed technician, and never thinks twice about accepting an opportunity to learn and try new things. She spends most of her time away from FVH hanging outdoors with her dogs, and she also enjoys painting and pottery! Nikki brings so much light and knowledge into our clinic every time she walks in, and we really hope she stays forever. We love you, Nikki! 😍

🦴 MEET BOWIE & NEWT & BOWZER! 😍 These good looking pups belong to one of our wonderful assistants named Nikki! Newt (M) and Bowzer (R) were both on euthanasia lists down south - Newt even made it onto that list while she was still in her mother's womb. 😭 Bowie (L) was born close by, right over in Brownfield, Maine! All three of these beautiful souls ended up in the right place - at the right time - and now they get to live out their wonderful lives together with their wonderful human. Full of s***k and personality, there's never a dull moment with these three. We love you Star Man, Scoots, and Bobos! 😍

What really happens when your dog comes to the treatment area ♥️ Ella was a very good girl for her x-rays

‼️‼️A muzzled dog is not a bad dog‼️‼️⬇️ A dog could be wearing a muzzle for a variety of reasons! Maybe they eat things they shouldn’t, maybe they aren’t fans of other dogs, maybe they’re in training, or maybe they are scared. We don’t judge! Training your dog to a basket muzzle sets them up for success, should they ever need one in the future. A dog that’s conditioned to wearing a muzzle will be a lot more comfortable if the foundation training is done prior to an incident where they might unexpectedly need one. We understand a visit to the vet can be very scary, and we can’t predict how a scared dog will react to being poked and prodded by someone they don’t know.❗️ Attached is a link to The Muzzle Up Project. They have a TON of wonderful information on how to make muzzle training fun, as well as how to properly fit your pup for one!
