What are the requirements for a dog to board with us?
-Dogs must be training or have completed one of our training programs.
-
- The following vaccinations MUST be current: rabies, distemper, parvo and bordetella (minimum of every 6 months on bordetella. Each play area and individual suite/condo has water available at all times. How do you separate the dogs? By size and temperament. We have five spacious play areas! We monitor the dogs carefully to see if playgroups are appropriate for that particular day, time, and group of dogs. Is there a safe place for my dog to go when he is tired or stressed? Certainly! Not every dog wants to play all day. We will give dogs a private space where they can get some peace and quiet. Do you have references? We receive many referrals from veterinarians, current clients, trainers, kennels, pet sitters and dog walkers. We are happy to provide phone numbers of current customers willing to give their opinion of our services.

Use it, don’t force it, walk right by it, and remember your dog is watching for YOUR RESPONSE!!! So be a good leader, reward what you want to keep, DONT REWARD WHAT YOU DONT WANT TO KEEP! Hands off the dog unless he is doing something you want to experience EVERY DAY FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE!!!

Juke is missing! He is around 50lbs and a lab mix. He has a white spot on his chest. He is goofy and extremely sweet…kids are his FAVORITE! He didn’t have his collar on, but his is chipped. Peggy Sue~. When I met her she was wild. She would climb any fence and go after anything that was moving. There were some people that she liked, but most she just didn’t trust. I trained her for someone in a wheelchair and she got with the program very quickly. I’ve never met a dog smarter than Peggy Sue. When you put her vest on, she knew exactly what was going on and she knew she was working. She took her job very seriously. She had two weaknesses one was cats, the other was to unlock any door. It didnt matter if it was a round k**b, a lever k**b, a gate, if it didn’t have a clip on it, she was gonna open it. She also knew how to close it. She has locked me in suites and two weeks ago she locked me out of my truck. I got on too her and she unlocked it and let me in. The last 10 years with Peggy Sue has been a journey. I will never forget her. She taught me more than any dog I’ve ever met. She’s been in seven homes and returned eight times due to letting children out of the house, Elderly people out of the house, birds out of the cage, and just letting herself out so she can go explorer. She always comes back but she will inevitably give people a two month grace period before she starts working her magic. Too bad, there were just no humans with an open couch that were as smart as you were. 10 years with Peggy Sue. I will never forget you Peggy. I will always love you. I will see you again.

Today we will pick up a dog named Max from US Canine, a beautiful Golden Retriever, sent to us by Golden Rescue of Atlanta. He will do a 4 week Board and Train, then will be available for adoption. I plan to make an example out of this 3 year old male GR. How would you like to own a GR that has professional training? Feel free to stop by ANYTIME, and meet him! Gonna show out on this one! Get in line! He will have a FOREVER HOME IN NO TIME!!!

PLEASE SHARE!! On tthe list for euthanasia. Eval resulted in finding a really cool dog!!!Hall County Animal Shelter. I will donate 5 private lessons to new foster or adoptor. No cats, small dogs, or children although I feel like he will be ok with children after some training. This video was after only an hour with him.

Perfect example of accepting your dogs TRUE energy level! Meet “CRAZY”. Yes that is his name. And this is his one speed. He walks NO WHERE! He runs everywhere! He knows all of his commands but his energy level, age, and particular combination of breeds/instinct, keeps him from perfection. There are trainers that would “break” his spirit. But over the years, and becoming a grandmother has taught me to be much more patient. Remember if we plant the seeds at a young age then they will flip that switch around 2 1/2. It will be determined by consistency and your level of patience. As the scripture teaches, `Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. ' (Prov. 22:6.)

The back up command is one of the most useful commands you will ever teach your dog. Especially if it’s a dog with issues!

I love you Riggins and will always remember you. Your determination and ability to maintain the bad boy image when in all actuality you were just a big sweet entertainer, never ceased to amaze me. I will always think of our quiet times on the front porch where you let down your guard and watched the squirrels without prey drive. You looked at me like “don’t tell!” The blower was a little harder but you always complied. No matter what you did it could all cancel out when you waved at me. I am grateful to all that you taught me and I will see you again. I will look for glimpses of you as you are forever in my heart just like all of the great ones. Riggins Weiss 11/22.
