What feels like a lifetime ago, but, 4 years to the day, Rosie and I took up a trail on Mt Helena. We stopped to watched the sun rise on her hometown and I asked her to marry me.

I have not come off of that mountain.

You can find Elementary Earthworks produce this week at Cornucopia Natural Market & Deli, and at the Knoxville Farmers Market on Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm, which we are excited to attend once again, with a limited selection of tomatoes in addition to other beautiful produce! We even had help from Farm dog Freya scouting the best bell peppers to bring you this week.

We plan on being at Libby’s Corner soon, and will let you all know as soon as our schedule is set. We plan on being there regularly in the near future, but we needed to take a breather this week.

I am so thankful for all of your support, and hope you enjoy this weeks' offerings from our micro-farm.

We hope everyone enjoyed a great 4th of July! With the growing space officially established, the happy garden is repaying in full. Tomatoes, peppers, tomatillos, purple and green beans, and squash. Potatoes on their way, pumpkins for fall, and more!

Hello, friends. My name is Alex, this is a candid picture of my beautiful wife Rosie acclimating plants to the world and beaming with pride.This is an appreciation post to her.

Great artists speak of not using a medium, so much, but acting as one for the art to flow through. This is another of Rosie's gifts. She is an antenna for powerful good and determined to share. Through her life she's sought out and found ways to use that incredible ability for others in her careers and community projects. But ten years ago, as we cut back the overgrown garden patch at the house we had just moved to, a vegetable passion erupted.
Suddenly, and over the years since, I watched the most brilliant person I've ever met use the sum of her powers towards her own mission. To grow food, share knowledge, and be entwined in life on Earth.
That overgrown patch has changed our lives. This woman has revolutionized mine.

We are so proud to announce some of our plants are now available at one our favorite places in town! Introduce these great additions to your garden soon for these April showers!✌️

We are now offering seedlings grown by Galesburg's newest urban micro farm, Elementary Earthworks, LLC ! Right now we have a beautiful selection of dill, thyme, bok choy, chard, brussel sprouts, cabbage and kale! All are hardened off and ready to go in your garden.

Good morning and welcome! My name is Rosie, owner of Elementary Earthworks. We are excited to begin our inaugural growing season as an established business here in Galesburg, IL.

After years of learning how to grow produce, from seed to preservation on my own, I took an opportunity to manage a CSA program ,along with wholesale and retail from a nearby farm. I recognized how important this is to me and to share with others, so now I am taking things to the next level by starting my own.

Elementary Earthworks, LLC is providing chemical free produce for local eateries and the general public from our urban micro farm. My husband Alex, our trusty farm dog Freya, and myself, look forward to sharing our journey-along with plant starts and produce with you!
