Who's up for digging new trail?! American River Conservancy has given approval for the next trail expansion at Salmon Falls Ranch, which would complete a loop on the next ridge to the west of the existing trails. There's a 500+ foot climb to get to this beautiful viewpoint, and we'll be working with Folsom Auburn Trail Riders Action Coalition - FATRAC to make a roughly 1.5 mile trail down the contours of the Ridgeline. Look out for workdays coming soon!

Come to a Cronan Ranch information gathering meeting on February 2nd at 5:30pm at the Coloma Grange (319 CA-49, Coloma, CA 95613). This meeting will precede the Cool-Pilot Hill Advisory Committee meeting. There will be presentations by the equestrian and mountain bike communities as well as the Native Plant society relative to the development of the county-owned, 64-acre Cronan parcel. Please come to learn more about the equestrian options for the property and support the equestrian presenters.

Kicked off my Thanksgiving with my first trail ride on my last "baby". He's been with an amazing trainer. Raised right, nice and slow.

Low temps for the 4th of July and nice patrol ride today out at Olmstead. Wrapped up a weekend of riding 25 miles, we did a 15 mile loop yesterday up at dru barner & some camping
