Congratulations to employee of the month, Alayah!! 👏🏆🎉
Alayah began working at Healthy Paws as a kennel technician and room assistant in February of 2024. She is currently attending Tyler Junior College pursuing a degree in biology with the goal of becoming a veterinarian. She loves helping animals, even in the “small ways” such as providing clean and cool drinking water or giving vaccinations. She is an avid learner and her passion for animals and their care grows stronger every day! Her favorite thing about working at Healthy Paws is her relationship with her coworkers; “I can ask questions when I need help, or someone will always be willing to help me with an animal if needed.” Alayah has a bearded dragon named Citrus. In her free time she goes to the gym, works on car modification, drawing, reading, and crocheting.

TNR is short for Trap-Neuter-Return and is a humane and proven effective way to address community cats. We have partnered with City of Gladewater's Animal Control for their TNR program! 🐱 After being trapped, the cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, ear-tipped, and tattooed. They are then returned to the outdoor area where they were trapped. 👂✂ You can recognize a TNR’d cat by the tipped ear! Call us today to make a donation to help our community cats!

🐱 Did you know annual check-ups can help your pet live a longer, healthier life? These routine visits allow us to catch and treat emerging health problems early!
📲 Book your cat's annual visit online! hpah.pet/book-online
🩺 During this annual visit, your cat will have a complete physical to check for signs of disease. Additionally, core vaccines will be given to protect your cat against diseases like rabies, feline leukemia, calici virus, and panleukopenia. We will also collect a f***l sample to check for intestinal parasites (PRO TIP: bring a sample from home). For kitties that spend time outdoors, blood will drawn to test for heartworms, feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia virus (FeLV). Annual blood and urine panels are are also recommended to check on previous problems or to ensure your cat's internal organ health is where it should be. (It is important to note that your pet can and should visit us more than once a year if they are sick or you have concerns.)
