As some of you know, I LOVE making jewelry. I started this journey when I broke my knee a few years ago working. I’ve had so many clients ask to purchase pieces, and I’ve finally created my first collection to sell.

Hope everyone had a great weekend spent the day on Saturday, trimming horses for my brother-in-law Clint, followed by a delicious BBQ with the kids and fam. Weather was perfect! Starting to feel like spring is finally here!

Happy Friday! Having a great spring break with the kids! Got to spend the day out in Amador county this week with a new client in Jackson and finished the day off with the beautiful horses at Shake Ridge Rockies! Hope everyone has a great Easter weekend!

How cool is this!

One of our favorite finds from the Lendbreen Ice Patch: An impressive and beautifully preserved horseshoe ❤️ It is dated to the 11th - mid-13th century AD by its shape. It is one of many finds showing that pack horses crossed the ice here and went through the pass. We have also found horse skulls and bones, and lots of horse dung.

Pack animals were a vital part of human life in the high mountains - from horses in our mountains here in Norway, to mules in the Alps, and yaks in the Himalayas. When the bones of pack animals are recovered, they have a very interesting story to tell:
