Starting the first of Sept., the county is going to take all our fencing down to fix the drainage problem we have. We will be without a play yard for a while and we will not have a pen for the dogs to get out. If anyone has a portable dog pen around 10x12 that would donate to us or let us use, that would help us a lot. It needs to be in good shape, so our dogs cant get out. We have a lot of dogs to walk and need more volunteers. You can email me at [email protected] if you have one. This is Girlfriend. 2 yrs old , 40 lbs looking for a loving home.

Meet 💓Gretel💓! This sweet girl is 5 months old and 27lbs. Gretel and her brother (Hansel) had a tough start to life, but that doesn’t stop them from being friendly puppies! Gretel would love nothing more than to get out of the shelter into a foster or adoptive home! She would benefit from a friendly fur sibling who can show her how to “dog”. Miss Gretel is super smart and already knows sit and down. She loves belly rubs, treats, and going for walks!

Here’s another spotlight of a pup in one of our awesome foster homes! Meet 🔵 Hansel 🔵!! This boy is a 5 month old puppy that is 27lbs. Hansel is being fostered with his mom (remember foster fail Angel?).There he is learning how to play with other dogs, sleep in a crate at night, and potty outside. He is a super sweet boy who is eager to please! If you are looking for a puppy, Hansel is your boy! He came in with his sister - look out for a post about her!

To all of our Bully lovers out there, this one’s for you! Meet sweet 🎀Girlfriend🎀!!! She has been with us for a few weeks now and she is currently staying with a foster so we can learn her true personality! Girlfriend was recovered from a scary living situation where she was out surviving on her own, so we are unaware of her past. The many barking noises at the shelter made her nervous, but she has truly blossomed since being in foster! We did not think she liked other dogs when first coming to the shelter; however, we have learned in her foster home that she enjoys playing with pups who match her energy! Girlfriend ADORES all people and wants to be as close to you as she can get! She is sweet, spicy, and all things in between! We love her very much and hope that you know someone who will love her forever! 💕

To bring some happiness to our sad day…let’s take a blast to the past! Sailor came into our shelter awhile back and was fostered by one of our amazing volunteers. He was later adopted by a wonderful family who has given him the freedom to roam through the marsh during the day and play couch potato at night! Stories like Sailor’s are what we wish to see for every dog that comes into our shelter! Meet 🔸Bubba🔸!! He is about a year old! This boy has been living it up in a foster home. There we’ve learned that he’s dog, cat, kid, and even duck 🦆 friendly!! He’s house and crate trained. Bubba loves car rides, belly rubs, and playing ball! He is a high energy boy who would love an active family and maybe also a dog friend. Set up a time to meet this awesome boy!

🚨We need HELP🚨 We have four amazing dogs that have been here OVER A YEAR!!! The thing is…we aren’t quite sure why?! All four dogs, Claire (longest), Pongo, Braxton, and Bernadette are amazing pets and would love to have a family of their own. As always, if you have a pet, a meet and greet is best. Living in a shelter for over a year takes quite a toll on these pups, so we would love to find them a foster or adopter to give them some hope and extra love! With proper introduction and patience, these shelter dogs will turn into the best companions! Details on each dog will be attached to the individual pictures! Look who found the best home. Jude[ aka} Jukebox was officially adopted today. He was being foster to adopt and he is one lucky little guy. His new home is on a horse farm where he gets to run around all he wants too. Yay for Jude.

He loves dogs, humans, and kids! Keno is great on walks! His favorite thing is to sit on your feet, lean against your legs, and get neck scratches. Meet 💙 Ken 💙! He is a friendly black lab that is 3yrs old and 59lbs. Ken gets along well with Barbie, but they are not bonded. He doesn’t seem to be a fan of dogs that aren’t her (she’s just super cool)! So, he’s looking for a home where he can be your one and only dog! Ken is super friendly with people!! He lived outside for most of his life, so he will need a family who will be patient as he learns the ropes of indoor living.

Dorothy is 1 yr old and the sweetest little dog. She is a bit shy at first, but only takes a little while for you to be her best friend. She is very smart, as most border collie are. She will come to you when you call her by name. She loves other dogs, cats and farm animals. She loves being close to you and getting attention. And is very playful. Meet 💓Barbie💓! She is a sweet yellow lab that is 3yrs old and 64 lbs. Barbie is back hanging out with us because she has made it clear she doesn’t want to live with small dogs. However, she has done great with large dogs, both male and female, at the shelter! Bring your big dogs to meet her!! Barbie gets so excited for walks, but after she gets her initial energy out, she is no problem to walk! Barbie lived outside for most of her life, so she will need patience as she learns the ropes of indoor living. She is truly an awesome girl!!

Meet ✨Tinkerbell✨! She is 3yrs old and 45lbs. Miss Tink is the sweetest girl and is extremely affectionate! She is wonderful with kids! Tinkerbell is dog friendly. She likes to play hard, so other dogs will need to match her energy! Bring your dogs to meet her to see if it’s a good match! She has a lot of energy coming out of her kennel, but she is easy to walk. She would love an active family (maybe one with a doggy friend!) and also humans to snuggle up on the couch with. Bonus: she knows basic commands!

Do you remember the hound puppies??? It’s finally time for their mama to find her forever home! Meet 💕 Polly 💕 She’s a 5yr old hound that’s 45lbs (but she is working on gaining some weight!!) She is dog, cat, and kid friendly! Polly is incredibly sweet and gentle. She walks so well on a leash! She has done well in a crate overnight, but would also be happy to curl up in bed with you 😴 What more could you want?!?! If you’re looking for a medium energy dog that will go on walks with you but also snuggle up on the couch, Polly is the girl for you!!

These 4 awesome dogs are looking for their very own home..As you can see they all love playing together. Goofy/ Dobie. Maya /husky mix , Bubba mix. ..and Minnie/hound

Harvey is our 4 yr old lab/pit mix. He will be with us a yr in March. It does take a while for him to warm up. He has a beautiful coat and is very sweet. Harvey wants to be the only pet. Please spread the word to see if we can find him a forever home.
