At DIG IT DOGS, we’re dedicated to sending your pups home better every day! As part of our Day School program, we’ve introduced daily mental enrichment exercises to challenge and engage their minds.
Our afternoon team has been working hard with the Day School pups on impulse control during group play. From group sits to group “outs” at the gate, these practices create a safer and more structured way to transition pups in and out of play.
I’m beyond impressed with what the team is accomplishing—great job, team! 🐾👏

It’s an exciting day here at DIG IT DOGS as our Stay and Train friend, Gag, heads home today! This sweet boy has made incredible progress during his time with us. Gone are the days of destroyed property 🫣, bullying his sister 🐶🐶, jumping, dragging to other dogs and counter surfing—those overwhelming puppy behaviors are now a thing of the past! Gag has found some calm!
While Gag is doing amazing, the real journey begins now. We’ve built a strong foundation, but it’s up to Mom and Dad to reinforce these positive changes and break any lingering behavior patterns. After two productive check-ins, Mom is more than ready for the challenge 💪🏻—we’re so excited for this reunion!

Here’s a glimpse at Week 2 of Wednesday Night Agility! We’ve got some truly brave and agile pups in this group! We have completed all of our contact obstacles and started our jumps! It’s such a joy spending my evening with these fantastic dogs and their amazing humans. Great work, everyone—you’re crushing it!

Good morning! With the Thanksgiving Holiday fast approaching Lacey has come up with a few tips to make your pups stay with us this time or anytime as enjoyable as possible!
Here are three quick tips to help dogs feel comfortable during boarding stays:
1. Bring Familiar Comforts. Pack items from home, like their favorite bed, toys, or a blanket that smells like you. Familiar scents and textures can provide a sense of security.
2. Maintain Their Routine. Share your dog’s daily schedule (feeding, potty breaks, exercise) with the boarding staff. Consistency with their routine helps reduce stress. Please let us know their preferences!
3. Make sure toning enough food, medication and supplements for their entire stay to ensure no upset tummy from food change!!

Meet our new Stay and Train friend, Gag! This sweet 10-month-old Golden Retriever has the softest, cutest face and such a playful personality! 😍 He’s a bit of a handful (in the best way!), and we’re helping him work through his goofy habits like jumping, mouthing, counter-surfing, and pestering his older sibling.
He’s been with us for almost a week, and he’s already making great progress—what a pleasure to work with such a smart, eager pup! Keep an eye out for more updates on this adorable guy! ☺️🐾

This week we wrapped up Week 3 of Agility 101, and I have to admit—teaching this class is an absolute blast! The smiles on the faces of both the dogs and their owners as they work together fills my soul. 🥰 We’ve conquered all the contact obstacles, bar jumps, and even the tunnel! It’s such a fun and rewarding experience for everyone involved!
🐾We have one spot left for our next Agility 101, starting November 13th at 6 PM! If you’ve been wanting to join in on the fun, now’s your chance!
🐾And don’t forget—Fall Fest is happening on October 20th from 11-2. Mark your calendars for some seasonal fun!

Good morning! Last night, we wrapped up week 5 of Basic Obedience class, and our pups and their handlers are really shining! We’ve mastered sitting, downing, and staying put, waiting patiently at thresholds, and perfecting the “place” command. We’re also putting in hard work on recall, one of the most important skills! Last night, we focused on appropriate public greetings with both dogs and humans. Everyone did an amazing job—next week, we celebrate! 🎉

We're excited to introduce our newest Day Train friend, Lixue! Like many puppies, Lixue has been keeping his mom on her toes with some typical puppy behaviors—jumping, barking, and sometimes just not listening 😅. But don’t worry, we’re on it!
Teaching our puppies to be calm is crucial for their overall well-being and development. A calm puppy is better equipped to handle new situations, making them more confident and less anxious. Calm behavior also helps puppies focus during training, making it easier for them to learn commands and good habits. By teaching calmness early, we reduce problem behaviors like excessive barking, jumping, and over-excitement, which can overwhelm both the dog and the owner. Ultimately, calm puppies grow into well-mannered dogs that can enjoy a balanced and happy life with their families!
Our goal is to help Lixue learn some calm and channel all that puppy energy in the right direction. Stay tuned for updates as this sweet boy progresses on his training journey! 🐕💪
