CHRISTMAS!!! I love Christmas!

But it is a crazy time of year for a dog groomer.

My business has grown, and I thought I should implement some suggestions for scheduling during the month of December this year!

I really want to get everybody’s dog super nice and clean and pretty. That will take some scheduling.

I will not be doing more than eight dogs a day this year - it is too stressful for me, and for them, to be rushed.

Soooooo, I will be working all four Saturdays in December before Christmas, and taking Sunday and Monday off.

I prefer to work mornings, but will schedule one day a week where I work the afternoon/evening.

I really prefer texting over phone calls. If you text me with the times you are available, and your dog’s name and breed, I will text back some options. It’s OK if you don’t text just give me a call!!

Bathing a dog is like many things in life - it seems easy, but doing it thoroughly and correctly is harder than it seems.

A good bath is essential to a good haircut, and super important to dogs that may be shedding and dirty.

I’ve been known to say that anyone can wash a car, but it takes a pro to detail it. Same with dogs!

Schedule a bath for your pup and be amazed at how soft, clean and fresh they are! Guaranteed!!!

And in my big stainless tub, friends can bath together for moral support!

All baths include a nail trim.

It’s summer, and I love to travel, so I will be out of the shop August 19 - 28.

I am hiking across Iceland and won’t be answering calls during that week but will return all your calls and texts as soon as I am back in the country and have service.

I never thought that a little solo grooming shop in the middle of the sandhills could be so busy! Thank you all for making my shop a success. But with success comes other issues.

With the influx of many many new dogs in the last year and a half, there has also been an influx of people missing appointments.

My days are over full, and it is very hard to reschedule those appointments. If you need to miss an appointment, please let me know so I can work other dogs in to the schedule. If you habitually miss appointments, I may not be able to reschedule you in the future.

Also, I used to be able to groom most dogs in an hour, and now with eight or 10 pets in the shop at a time I cannot do that as often. Please be patient with me and help me schedule accordingly.

I love grooming your pets, and I love all the new friends I’ve made here in Nebraska, but as I said, my days are over full, now. I may have to start limiting new clients, or those clients who don’t schedule on a regular basis.

Thanks for your friendship and for trusting me with your precious pets.
