0 square foot facility. Inside this museum like facility is an 1800 square foot trophy room where you can view Roy and his talented award winning staff’s work. Roy and his studio routinely compete and take top honors in state and national level taxidermy competitions. His list of awards is extensive and spans the greater than 30 years he has been involved in taxidermy. Roy personally holds the coveted Paul Provenzano award in three category's, from the Texas Taxidermy Association and in 2013 was awarded the Masters Provenzano award. He also has the Award of Excellence from the National Taxidermy Association. His studio has won Best studio in the State eight times, most recently in 2013. Additionally in 2011, Roy took the Life-tone Award for the highest scoring fish skin mount or reproduction in the competition, Best of Category Judge's Choice, and the Wasco Award for Most Artistic Entry. Previously in 2010 Roy took Best of Category, Judges Choice Best of Show, People's Choice Best of Show, and the Al & Evelyn Holmes award for best habitat. In 2009, Roy won the Ivan Harvey Memorial award for having the best small mammal at the national competition. To help advance the goal of continued improvement of the image of taxidermy and the sportsmanship of hunting, Roy is active and serves on the boards of the Texas Taxidermy Association, currently as Vise President and the North Texas Chapter Safari Club International. This year he served as the Competition Chairman for the annual convention and competition.

Proud is an understatement. Two members of Team TrueLife Taxidermy competed, for their first time EVER I might add, at the Texas Taxidermy Association, Inc. Convention this past weekend and showed out!!! Jancy Page competed in the professional division and took home a 3rd place on her 3rd ever whitetail mount!!! Jesus Garcia entered a customer's Lord Derby Eland in the Professional division and took home a 2nd place ribbon! He won SCI International African Species, People's Choice Professional Division, and People's Choice Best Gamehead. So blessed to have them represent !!! It felt like we all won that night!!!
Roy, Katie & Shannon will be out of the office working the Texas Taxidermy Association, Inc Convention June 26-30. The shop will be open 8:30AM-5:30PM for pickups/dropoffs. We will see ya on Monday!

10 years! 1 whole decade is how long I've been at TrueLife Taxidermy. It seems like yesterday when I walked through the doors for my interview and saw Roy standing beside an elephant skull holding a glass of red wine with a black lab laying at his feet. I can't explain it, but I immediately knew I was home. Roy and Marie have been nothing short of amazing to me over the years and have become part of my family.
My team. My team! Well, they are amazing and absolutely the most talented and gifted bunch of artists in the taxidermy industry! (Fight me!) They are my family, too. Yes some days are hard, but we all know that we have each other's back in the long run. ❤️
My customers. My customers! They make every day pretty great, too! I love hearing the stories and seeing their excitement when they drop off the animals, but even more so seeing it all come full circle when they come pick up the finished product.
Everyone made me feel so special yesterday. I was truly spoiled. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
I am so proud! The Texas Taxidermy Association, Inc. has become such a big part of my life and this year might have been my favorite show to date! Jett and Jarrod competed for the first time. Jett won judges and peoples choice youth division 8 and under! Jarrod got a 2nd place on his first ever mount! And to seal the deal TrueLife Taxidermy won best studio!!! (Duh💁♀️) We have the best and most talented team. I'm feeling overwhelmingly blessed and honored to be apart of TrueLife and to serve on the board of such an amazing organization.
