I'm a firm believer in always continuing to learn. I also realize the older I get, the less I know! That's why this weekend, I attended NCSU's lab at Wizard of Paws as part of the program to become a Certified Canine Manual Therapist. Only 3 case studies and a test to go!

Happy graduation to Otis! This little dude had a limb straightening procedure done earlier this year at Riverbend Animal Hospital and was doing laser and PT to get back to being the buff little guy he is! Great job, Otis!

Bella here is working on conditioning after a chronic iliopsoas (groin) strain. Ipsilateral step ups while balancing on a bosu is a great core challenge, and we isolate each hind leg as she steps up. The lateral movement engages hip abductors. A strong core is key to rehabbing and preventing groin strains! Go, Bella!!

My friend Josie here just underwent an amputation of her right front leg after a brachial plexus injury and it's been so cold I wanted her to have a sweater! There's not a lot for tripods out there, so I enlisted the help of my very talented friend Heather ( ) to make her one! She looks so pretty and she'll be so warm! Thank you, Heather!!!

I'm behind with my graduation posts!! Congrats to Lily the Basset, who made a full recovery after being paralyzed in her hind end from a stroke; Sadie the Shepherd graduated from rehab after TPLO surgery; Saisha the Shepherd who has hip and elbow dysplasia; and Maya the hound mix who also had TPLO surgery. I'm so proud of all my grads!!

My apologies to the handsome Otis for almost forgetting to post his graduation picture!! This handsome fella has had multiple surgeries on his knees but is now doing great! I miss seeing you on the regular, sweet boy!

A little late, but congrats to our recent grads, Hedda the Keeshond and Baker the Staffordshire Bull Terrier! They were both struggling with some iliopsoas injuries, but are now strong and healthy!
