This is Ms. Wobbles. Ms. Wobbles is a special needs lady with a neurological condition, Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This affects Ms. Wobbles stability.
Well, this past week Ms. Wobbles got a new home with a cat sanctuary. The incredible woman who runs the sanctuary focuses on special needs cats and provides them a loving environment to live out their lives. Ms. Wobbles, and Freddy in the previous post, will be loved and taken care. As far as weāre concerned, the woman running the sanctuary is an Angel! We are so happy for Ms. Wobbles and Freddy. And itās a good lesson showing how we can help our special needs babies!
Hello DeSoto Parish! How about some more good news? Remember Nicholas? Nicholas had an injury to his left front leg that required amputation. He made it through surgery with flying colors and has adjusted quickly to having only 3 legs. Nicholas is a wonderful resident of the Shelter and will make some lucky family very happy. We are hopeful prospective adopters will not focus on the loss of Nicholasās leg and instead focus on that Nicholas can still do everything he did before, he can still snuggle, play, and give his unconditional love.
We did a fundraiser to cover the $500 cost of Nicholasās surgery. To all those who donated, we reached our goal and the rest is history! A big thank you to those who were able to help financially.
You continue to bless our residents and the Shelter with your kindness, willingness to volunteer, by sharing our story and with your amazing generosity. We thank you and the residents thank you!
