Clover needs a home!
Come meet Clover at Petco in Washington on Sunday this weekend from 1 to 3 pm!
Clover's foster siblings are trying their hardest to help her get her forever home, take a look!
Clover is a beautiful 8 month old beagle mix pup. She has been in foster care with other dogs and children and absolutely adores her foster siblings, both canine and human! Clover is a very playful, energetic girl who loves stuffed animals and tug with ropes. She has adorable floppy ears and a goofy personality to match. She listens well and will be a wonderful companion with some training. She is kennel trained and house trained and loves a good nap on her pillow or snuggling into blankets. Clover loves to run in the yard and will be happiest in a home with a fenced yard. Her adoption fee is $250.
If you are interested in adopting Clover, fill out an application at istodaymydayrescue.org!
Happy Valentine’s Day from Is Today My Day Rescue! This morning, Addie, Clover, and Ivy are teaming up with SLU Relay For Life to Kiss Away Cancer! Addie has a home waiting for her, but Clover and Ivy are still available for adoption!
We rescued Addie from an animal control facility this past week. She was found as a stray and with an injury to her back leg (it appears to be an old injury that did not heal correctly). Addie goes to the vet tomorrow for x-rays. Keep her in your thoughts and hope the results come back telling us that she does not need invasive treatment!
Home for the Holidays: Ava
HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!
Ava might not be a great Santa, but she is a wonderful companion! Sweet Ava has been with us for 4 months and cannot wait to have a family of her own to love. She is a 2 year old, 50 pound pit bull terrier who has had a tough life so far. Ava came to us with a litter of 2 day old puppies and heart worms. She did not know how to interact with other dogs, what a couch was, and what a gentle hand felt like.
Since then, Ava's puppies have all gone home, she has completed her treatment, and has mastered the basics of being a house dog with the help of her canine foster siblings and human foster parents. She loves her canine foster siblings, but will require a longer introduction if she is going to a home with other dogs. She will need some time to make sure other dogs are friends and not foes; we cannot blame her with the past she has had. Ava is potty trained, reliable to be left out of a crate while her foster family is out of the home, enjoys car rides and laying next to people on the couch, walks well on a leash, and is a wonderful girl. Her calm demeanor and gentle nature make her a great dog to have around. Ava's adoption fee is $100.

Cinnamon is still looking for her forever home. Who needs an adorable, quirky, and fun filled dog to brighten up their home? Cinnamon has excelled in foster care and has mastered house manners and potty training. She brings joy to her foster family every day and does wonderfully with other dogs and children of all ages. Her smooth coat is perfect for petting (which she enjoys quite a lot!) and she adores snuggling up for a nap with her person. Cinnamon is a 15 pound, 5 year old yorkie mix who will be a wonderful addition to any family. Visit her page on our website to see more photos of this sweet girl: she is quite the model! Her adoption fee is $250.

Feeding time!
This restaurant is standing room only! The bird pups will soon be ready for adoption. Stay tuned, because next week, we'll begin to feature them and start the search for their forever homes. The puppies (Sparrow, Jay, Dove, Piper, Magpie, and Raven) are pit bull mixes--momma Ava is a pit and dad is unknown. All of them are sweet, playful, very social, and love their toys! Ava is 50 pounds, and we expect the puppies to be about her size when grown.
Bird pups at 3.5 weeks
Momma Ava and her pups (Sparrow, Jay, Dove, Piper, Raven, and Magpie) are healthy, happy, and busy, busy, busy! This week, they have discovered that humans are lots of fun and that play wrestling is a great way to pass the time. It's hard to believe that we got these babies and momma just 16 hours before they were set for euthanasia.
Charlie and Coco
Rescued momma Coco and her pup Charlie are flourishing in their foster home! Can you believe what a big boy he is? He is only about 4 weeks old! We can't believe that this mom and her pup were set for euthanasia the day after we rescued them just 10 days ago.
Rescued mom and pups arrive 8/27
Urgent Rescue Family #1
Yesterday, we made a very special rescue, and our biggest rescue to date. On Friday, we got a request from a shelter who had three nursing moms with pups who were running out of time. These babies were only 10 days old. If they were not rescued by Sunday evening, the three moms and their pups would be put down on Monday morning to make room at the shelter (today). We knew we had to move, and had to move quickly. After many phone calls, emails, foster coordination, and filling out paperwork, we were able to save two moms and their pups, while another rescue took the third. These dogs were in their final hours... but we were able to help them just in time.
Family #1 is a beautiful pit bull momma with 6 gorgeous pups, 4 females and 2 males. She is being a super mom and caring for them very well. We think they will prosper in their foster home.
"Our family started fostering puppies 10 years ago. Initially, we thought we were in over our heads because we started out with 4 energetic puppies that were always busy! However, after we got into a routine, it became much easier to handle our fosters and our family became very attached to them. Our dogs even join in on the care taking, especially our 130 pound mastiff who thinks he is their mommy! While we are always ready to help them find their forever homes, it is always bittersweet to see them go. My kids, who were in service clubs like National Honor Society and Key Club at their schools, even got service hours for their time fostering." -Foster mom Stephanie
