Raising kittens from an extremely feral mama isn’t for the faint hearted. But so rewarding when these babies are adopted to loving homes rather than spending their lives trying to survive in the desert. Thanks for helping us do what we do!
Our four new arrivals at Paws Patrol! Only a couple hours old. Mama is a feral trapped with our TNR program. She’ll be returned, and her sweet babies will be available for adoption in a short couple months! 😻

Paws Patrol's infamous office kitty, Ginny, finally at home!
If you’ve been a Paws Patrol supporter for some time, then you know Ginny! She has been a part of Paws Patrol since 2015. This beautiful tabby ruled the kitties at the office and made sure that everyone knew she was the boss! Therefore, she was promoted to our kitty office manager and Paws Patrol mascot.
In December 2021, Ginny was in for a big surprise, fostering to adopt! Alex and David have always been fond of Ginny when volunteering at the shelter since 2018. Ginny always made a point of demanding their attention when they visited. She would give head butts and sometimes talk to the couple. Until this point, Ginny had been adopted and returned a few times because she would refuse to eat in her new home.
Taking Ginny home was not a simple task, but luckily, former President and co-founder Patti wrangled the kitty. Ginny loudly protested the entire ride from the shelter to Rancho Sahuarita. Who knew that 7 miles could be so stressful and noisy? Ginny was isolated in her own bedroom and hid for a while, but David set up a camera to watch her to make sure she was eating — and she was!
Slowly, Ginny came out of hiding and enjoyed her home life. She loved being petted, snuggling with her foster mom and dad. After a few weeks, Ginny was introduced to the rest of the household kitties. It didn’t go well.
Alex and David thought for sure Ginny would get along with the household kitties, especially since she got along with most of the shelter cats for years. That was not the case. Ginny did not like to share her humans with the other four house cats. So, Ginny became the upstairs kitty, and the rest stayed away.
In the spring, Alex and David moved into a new home. Again, Ginny loudly protested the entire ride to Sierra Vista that she was not happy. They kept all the cats separated until all the major furniture was moved. Then Alex and David opened the doors and hoped all the cats would get along.
Becoming a Musher! 😻
Nutmeg is the most adventurous of her siblings and step-siblings! And the first one to try some yummy solid food. The rest are all about Mom and play! #TNR #fosteringsaveslives #kittens
