Spring has arrived at Heartsong ❤️
The freshly dragged pastures are green and beautiful, Wanda Mark’s riding program is in full swing, baby goats and pigs are frolicking in the sweet sunshine and our nesting geese have arrived.
The farm is a haven for so many, both two legged and four legged friends and family.

I have always wanted to see a fairytale wedding in the woods, and today I got to be a part of one! Tony and Brittany were so connected and enjoyed every second of their symbolic and intimate nuptials. This picture was taken after they were presented as Mr. and Mrs. Douglas! Congratulations! 🎉 🍁

Despite the blustery weather today, birthday girls Ivy and Tabitha and all of their guests enjoyed a customized party at Heartsong Farm. Horse rides, spider swings, painting crafts and plenty of free play.

Yesterday Heartsong Farm hosted a birthday party for a sweet six year old and about a dozen of her closest friends.
Pony rides, painting at the picnic table and plenty of free play in the beautiful February sunshine.

Two of our riders were fortunate enough to attend a two day clinic hosted by Margo Luke @ Holly Ridge Farm. Wanja Gerlach Grand Prix Dressage Rider, USDF 'L' Dressage Judge and owner of Gerlach Dressage was the instructor. Two days packed full of learning and amazing instruction.

These girls are troopers, 90 degree heat at 8pm last night and they are stilll smiling!
Holly Ridge Equestrian Center hosted a ride a test dressage clinic in Willards, MD. What an awesome opportunity to gain knowledge and learn what they can improve on in their riding and future dressage tests.
A very hot but very satisfying show day at Kindred Spirit Farms. Everyone challenged themselves and rode beautifully, the children played and had a wonderful day despite the heat and more memories were made.
Saylor Saunders has a large handful of beautiful blue ribbons as well, we took the picture just after they had driven away, lol.
The long hours that Wanda Marks and Stephanie Fox put in with these riders certainly shows.

They say it takes a village to raise a child, the same is true of running a farm. I may be biased, but I think our village, though small, is one of the best. Wanda Marks and Stephanie Fox work long hours, take care of their families and devote their time tirelessly to training riders of all ages and disciplines. We have no maintenance crew, just our own family and those in our barn family who are always willing to give and work to make and keep Heartsong beautiful. They know who they are. Hands that are willing to help with chores that never end and don’t stop for nights, weekends, holidays or bad weather. Tyler Marks and Walter hide behind the scenes but both are always there, supporting, hauling trailers, treating injuries, and offering support and expertise that can’t be found online. Wherever and whenever it is needed. Thank you to our farriers, vets, chiropractic services etc.
Thank you parents, students, siblings, grandparents and so on, you are why we are here. Weekends and the property full of smiling faces and laughing children is what makes it all worthwhile.
Heartsong started off as only a dream, and we are thankful for every one who has played a part in maintaining what is very much a reality.
Sunday was another awesome show day!
Our riders participated in the season’s last show day at Kindred Spirit Farm in Salisbury MD.
As usual the girls had a wonderful day together, riding, laughing and making memories.
Everyone rode beautifully and placed well as you can see, also receiving their year end awards.
We are so proud of all of these beautiful riders, thankful for new faces that have joined the Heartsong family and the amazing parents who help make it all possible.
Wanda Marks and Stephanie Fox put in many hours with these girls and it shows.
We are looking forward to many more shows together and watching this amazing farm family we have been blessed with grow even more!

These girls had an amazing day at the Autumn Grove Snowflake series. Both riding young, green horses, placed first and second after entering in dressage at the last minute. They both also rode and placed well in the indoor ring, maintaining their composure, calming their horses and encouraging one another.
Wanda Marks teaches not only strong riding skills, but confidence, kindness and teamwork.
It was a cold blustery day but we left with warm hearts and big smiles.
Amazing. Our barn family girls are amazing.
Such a wonderful show day at Kindred Spirit farm today. Hard work does pay off, these girls have been training so hard with Wanda Marks and Stephanie Fox and every one of them had so much fun and rode beautifully today.
On top of all that, they laughed and cheered one another and the other riders on and made memories they will have forever.
We are certainly blessed.

We enjoyed a beautiful spring day competing at Kindred Spirit Farm yesterday. So very proud of all the Marks Equestrian girls, as usual they not only showed well but more importantly had fun and supported one another and encouraged the other riders. The little ones did what they do and played the day away, some of the adults may or may not have caught a cat nap. 😆
Laughs were had, memories were made and honestly, that is what it is all about. ❤️

The parking lot at Heartsong was full today, with other riders waiting patiently for the arena and lessons with Wanda Marks.
It was a beautiful and fulfilling Saturday.
