The IHSA show has begun! The ring looks great, and we are so proud to host everyone today! And a huge thank you to the Siena College Equestrian Team for all their help getting the barn and the horses ready.

It's a beautiful day and the show has moved outside! Come on over to watch and hang with us! After the normal hunter/equitation classes we will have the fun stuff, costume class, egg & spoon, sit-a-buck and a few more!

The weather is looking good for our show this weekend! The prize list is available on cdhjc.org. The show starts promptly at 9am with beginners...and check out the fun classes being offered!! Sarah has been practicing her egg & spoon, have you?
If you haven't contacted Nora yet for a stall, please call ASAP as we have a limited number available. Also feel free to call or comment below with what kind of trailer you are bringing so we can start planning "trailer Tetris". The barn phone is 518-456-5010.

Wow! Just...wow!

We are overwhelmed with gratitude with how much you all have donated for the victims of Hurricane Helene. We did not anticipate the volume of donations that we’ve received.

Dr. Safford and her husband, Adam, found a THIRD truck to haul the surplus that wouldn’t fit in the first two trucks. But we need your help again.

We will be packing boxes and loading the third truck at 4pm at our clinic, at 123 Weisheit Rd Glenmont, NY. We are looking for donations of empty cardboard boxes, shrink wrap, and box tape. If anyone is available to volunteer an hour to pack and load, we’d be very grateful too! Lastly, since gas is over $1000 per truck for each trip, we would gladly accept cash donations for the drivers. Dr. Safford’s Venmo is https://venmo.com/u/Jennifer-Safford-1 Last 4 digits are 7175 and she will make sure the drivers receive donations.

Thank you all for your generosity! Here’s a small fraction of what came in. The stalls were all full too. You are all amazing!

After excellent preparation from Angie during horse camp and recent barn discussions, Madison Paredes and Lucy Reece finished first and second in the junior Horsemanship Award at the CDHJC Show, demonstrating their knowledge on written and riding tests, as well as a practicum. Congratulations!
