Grooming by appointment only. Walk in nail trimming (No apointment necessary) available 9-3 Tuesday through Saturday for $10.

Grooming package includes bath, blueberry facial scrub, blow-dry, brush, haircut, nail trim, ears cleaned, paw treatment and scent of your choice. A Hair of the Dog for since 2011. My love for animals stems back to my childhood. I have owned a few Chinese Cresteds, Yoda, Chewie, Tallulah and Nephele. Both the Hairless and Powderpuff variety. Professionally, I pride myself on providing a positive grooming experience for the pet and owner. Closely following given directions while striving to keep a low stress environment focusing on quality over quantity at a fair price. I understand grooming requires a great deal of trust, a strong relationship with both owner and pet, as well as an ability to read the situation and the body language of dogs correctly. I am invested in discovering new ways to keep your dogs healthy, adorable and happy while continuing education on the latest trends and styles.

Upon reflection of the past year, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for my clients' unwavering kindness, trust, and appreciation. I am privileged to work with dogs that I have grown to love, enhancing their beauty and well-being. The relationships I have developed with pet owners through meaningful conversations are truly valued. Rachel Veitch, a talented dog groomer at A Hair of the Dog, is responsible for the most impressive-looking llamas at the Guilford and Durham Fair. She excels in showmanship, obstacles, and costumes, and her dedication and hard work are truly admirable. Her sisters are also impressive and show their llamas, and they will need to buy another house to store all their ribbons! Congratulations to Rachel and her family on a job well done and the most immaculately groomed llamas I have ever laid eyes on!

Miss Lucy Loo sporting our new table leads! They are called “Trach Savers” they basically go around the arms, like a backpack, applying zero restriction or pressure on the throat area. It’s great for any dog, but especially those who are older, move around, or want to lay down frequently during the process while on the table.

Super cool investment and makes the grooming more comfortable and safe for everyone!
