Lego update!!!
After running a blood test for PPID/Cushing disease, I am happy to announce that Lego in fact does NOT have PPID. I have treated Lego as if he did have PPID, because that is what we were told was wrong with him. We were told his cushings had gotten so bad that he would probably have to be put down. I wanted to be sure of the diagnosis and I am extremely relieved to know that he doesn’t have this disease.
It’s been a beautiful experience to watch this horse recover in a matter of days. The first pics show a horse who had no hope, it’s clear. It’s amazing to get to see this horse come back to life. He is lively and his personality has come back. He is by far the sweetest and beyond gentle. He still isn’t completely outta the water yet regarding his feet. There’s a lot of work ahead, but I am dedicated to doing what’s in his best interest.
His teeth are my next priority along with continuing his hoof care. If anyone knows of any dentists that would be willing to travel to Hampton. I would really appreciate the recommendations.
I have started a kidney and liver detox and have him starting an ulcer treatment. I am beyond excited to watch how he will transform with time and love.
Thanks again to everyone who has supported us and donated. I truly believe we saved him.
Please share so we can spread his story and support his recovery.
