My name is rosie.
I’m very timid with humans, but loving when I get to know you. I am not spayed but I do have my shots. Needing a new home preferably with other friendly cats. Anyone willing to open their home for a friend before I am surrendered to the pound Monday ☹️

(Posting for a friend who can no longer take care of her adequately, I would take her but my dogs would undoubtedly think she was a toy)

Message me if interested 😊

Good morning!
Due to illness in the home, we will be closed today 😢

With all the sickness going around, now is a good time to up those vitamins to help your immune system!
Please stay inside if you aren’t feeling well because you never know who around you has a compromised immune system. A simple virus that barely effects you can significantly effect another.
Better safe than sorry and we don’t want to put anyone at risk. Everyone enjoy your day❤️🐾

When purchasing a dog, please do your own research and don’t just go off of what the breeder tells you.
It’s common for breeders to tell you what you want to hear to encourage purchase. Most commonly in my business is the doodle (any dog cross bred with a poodle). So here are a few facts and common myths associated with doodles.
-Contrary to popular belief, they are not hypoallergenic and yes they do in fact shed. All dogs produce dander, saliva and urine. Which are where allergies come from. You are not necessarily allergic to the fur but what is attached to it. Also every dog sheds some just more minimal than others. With doodles you can’t predict how much they will shed because you can’t predict what type of coat they will have.
-doodles as well as all other dogs should start grooming at a very young age. Doodles especially because of the amount of in depth grooming they have to stand through. It’s a lot less stress on them if they learn early.
-matting on doodles can be extreme and can happen very quickly. Especially when you add moisture and movement. Keeping the coat long takes brushing almost every day and monthly grooming appointments to get sanitary areas clean, ears pulled and ensure there isn’t severe matting. When matting gets to a certain point where it is causing the animal pain to get them out, it’s recommended to shave down and start over to avoid grooming trauma.
-tying matting and shedding together. Since a lot of doodles have a velcro type top coat and a shedding undercoat, when they shed the hair gets caught on the top layer and creates a matt over a small amount of time. This is why so much brushing is required. Comb needs to be used because a flat brush will not go passed the top layer of fur.
-the cute fluffy soft coat only lasts until about a year old and then it changes. I see most people buying impulsively because they are cute and fluffy. Which can usually be maintained as a puppy with regular grooming. But after a year or so their adult hair will come in and it can either be easier or harder to maintain(really depends on the coat type they get).
-double doodles are not necessarily more likely to shed less or cause less allergies.
-I don’t usually recommend bathing at home unless you are willing to fully dry the dog because of the matting from moisture.
The list is never ending 😅
Of course every dog is different, every coat is different and these are just little things I feel like aren’t common knowledge.

The more you know the better you can care for your animal. I am always open to questions about home care in between grooms. I also am willing to teach the proper brushing technique.

Any questions you can always message me or even comment 😊🐾🐶

Came to work to garbage all in front of my shop.
Quite disrespectful. I don’t think I should have to explain why that is.

At any rate, I hope everyone has a awesome friday and stays dry!

Time to pretty some pups 🐾 🐶

Hanna city groomingdales will be closed Wednesday august 23rd due to excessive heat. Thursday the 24th will be determined. It gets very hot in the shop with the dryers and the dogs end up miserable and won’t dry.
Please stay cool, hydrated, and make sure if you are drinking excessive amounts of water that you intake sodium as well. It can save a life ♥️
Keep pets indoors and well hydrated as well. 🐾
