Today we'd like to answer some of our frequently asked questions! π
Q: Are you privately owned? Are there more Brijon locations?
A: Yes, we are a privately owned small business! There is only one Brijon, in Hanover MA.
Q: What does Brijon mean?
A: "Brijon" was named by the owner after her parents. Visit our pinned posts on our page for the full story on how Brijon got it's name π
Q: Do you see exotics?
A: At the time being we only see dogs and cats, but we are looking into it and we hope to be able to help small exotic animals here one day!
Q: Are you guys an Emergency Hospital?
A: The short answer is, no. We are an Urgent Care! So just like a human Urgent Care, we are here to be the in between to your regular doctor and the Emergency Room. Our hours, prices and wait times are tailored to help those who can't get into their regular vet, but don't necessarily need to be seen at the Emergency Room. Emergency Vets should be used for life threatening problems. We are here for all your ear infections, lacerations, GI upsets and more! Visit our website for a full list of things we can accommodate, or give us a call!
Q: When I call your hospital, who am I speaking to?
A: Our knowledgeable and skilled team of technicians are who answer our phones! Whether you call to make an appointment or call to ask if you should be seen, our team will help assist you.
Q: Do you accept walk ins?
A: Yes, absolutely! Part of being an Urgent Care means accommodating as many same day appointments as we possibly can! We offer scheduling appointments ahead of time on our website, as well as same day call ahead appointments. But if you forget to schedule or just don't think to, our team of technicians will happily greet you at the door and get you seen by one of our Urgent Care doctors!
Q: Do you offer wellness care?
A: We do. However we always strongly advise that you follow up with a General Practice for long-term care. We know how hard it can be to get into your vet if you need a last minute vaccine or nail trim and that's why we are here! After your visit we will always send records to your Primary Care Vet so that you are easily able to resume that continuity of care.
Q: Do you accept pet insurance or Care Credit?
A: We do accept Care Credit! Pet insurance works a little differently because we do not take payment from insurance directly. If you have pet insurance (which we strongly recommend!), we would have you pay for the entirety of your bill, and then you will get reimbursed by your pet insurance. We will always be sure to get you any and all info needed to provide to your insurer, so that you get your reimbursement as quickly and smoothly as possible.
