Well today was a great day for some light riding, shoney and I were doing some basic western, so I can practice my sit trot and it went okay. She did great as usual.

Yes I was holding my reins as I would in English don't judge me lol I just ride english more than western so it was out of habit lol 😅

She is feeling much better today and her eye is soooo much better than that first day it was all swollen and semi shut.

Shoney Update: She is doing much better today and her eye is going back to normal. I am still spraying it with Saline and some Gel that's for horses eyes when they get irritated and she seems to be much much better today than yesterday.

Update: I am gonna try this Vetericyn Plus Antimicrobial Ophthalmic Gel for Horses it's suppose to be good for Irritated Eyes, Suffering From Burning, stinging and itching. Was told this is most likely an Allergy as Shoney is showing all signs of symptoms for Allergies. And it can take about 5 to 7 days to clear up but if this doesn't clear up within 4 days I will immediately call our vet to then get her Antibiotics. I rather try everything first before having the vet out

Well the swelling has gone down a tad, her eye is super watery and in the white has some yellow.

This was before I patted it dry with a clean paper towel, and then sprayed with Saline again.

Day 3 so if there is no change first thing tomorrow looks like I'm calling the vet out to have it looked at

Unsure what she did but Shoney here did something to her eye.

We are taking precaution with it, we think maybe allergies or she got bit by a fly, has been flushed and sprayed with Saline.

It's all red and swelled, her other eye is perfectly fine though.

Looking for affordable tack go check Alex Parker out who owns Boss Mares Tack. All her prices are super reasonable and she's got just about anything from racing, to english to the western riding. Blankets, bits name it and she might have it. I bought my Dressage Saddle from her and everything is amazing and safe for a horse. Highly recommend her and she's awesome to chat with.
