I volunteered my time this afternoon for an emergency groom on a sweet boy that was left at the fire station in Memphis. Biscuit’s Legacy and Lisa Jones Sharp responded and brought this baby in to be cleaned up after vaccinating him. The matting on his legs was like a cast. His nails were grown into his paw pads and he was in rough shape. After hours of careful shaving and scissoring he is now mat free. He is able to walk properly, get circulation back throughout his body and can use the restroom comfortably. I am so thankful these sweet people are able to be there for the ones that have no one! ❤️

Great information for Poodle AND Doodle owners! There comes a time when matting is almost inevitable. Keeping a short style and no collars or harnesses for long periods of time can make going through the transition easier for you and your pup. Brushing every day with a slicker brush AND a metal comb will definitely keep them from getting matting that is extremely tight and all over. 🐩 ❤️

This is one of the first videos I found that explains stomach flipping which is extremely dangerous for many breeds. This can happen with any deep chest breed such as a Poodle, Great Dane, German Shepherd, Basset Hound, Boxer and others. I always make client dogs wait an hour before running outside or playing for this very reason!
