A little update on Here Comes Jones! If you don’t remember, she was a 2yr old filly who was working too slow to be a competitive race horse. She was a very quiet and sweet filly and speed was just not her thing! Look at her now!! 🤩 I think she finally found her calling. ❤️
After a few weeks of training at the track the 2yr old fillies are enjoying some turnout time and just being horses. As you can see they are settled back in and causing trouble already. 🤣 Horses….🙄
The conditions have worsened. It is completely disgusting outside this morning! The smoke is so thick it almost hides the mountain. Training has been canceled and I can bet racing will be too.
Penn National live racing canceled tonight due to air quality (Canadian Wildfires). You can really see the smoke on the mountain.

Almost a month OFF the track and this boy has turned into a true softy! Some people do not realize the amount of physical and mental stress these horses endure at the race track. They also get limited amounts of time outside of a stall. Once they are away from the race track it is amazing how their personality changes! He now acts like a pony, calm and relaxed, just being led around with a lead rope. This is his FIRST time crossing the tarp! I was unsure how it would go but he did amazing!! 🥰

Less than a week ago, Mister Gary, left us for his new home. Gary came straight off the track and has relaxed well into his new home. Today he is lungeing and being ridden in a halter and lead ropes! Thanks SO much to his mama for giving him a loving home. It makes us so happy to see our race horses enjoying their retired life! ♥️
