Hades started his puppy board and train a week ago! He's doing great and is such a smart little guy!

Our board and trains come with 6 months of free Sunday classes, so we can continue to offer hands on support on any new issue or new goal that may arise, as well as continue working on your skills as a handler!

From a local gardener:
This tick has been on display for us to show people for a while. After months in a sealed container without any additional feeding, she laid eggs. This demonstrates how long a tick can remain dormant and how many eggs one female can lay. Remember, ticks become active again in the fall, so continue with preventive measures.
If you encounter a small pile of jelly-like balls in your garden, act immediately! These are tick eggs and they're set to hatch soon.
Either set them on fire or destroy them by soaking in isopropyl alcohol. Be sure to wear gloves if you handle the nest, as it contains hundreds of tick eggs that will hatch in a few weeks. I believe it's important to share this post because tick bites can be dangerous.
Stay safe and informed to protect yourself and your garden from these tiny but dangerous creatures!

I can't tell you how many times I've said this!!!!
Proper socializing is so important! We don't run up to every stranger we see and invite them to lunch, that's just weird. Don't let your dog be that guy! Let's humanize it correctly!

Sometimes when we bring home a new dog, we forget about crucial adjustment periods, how to take things slow and when to give the dog the benefit of the doubt. We humans get so caught up in rushing things, having too much success too fast, and forgetting where our dogs are mentally, that we overlook things like this! Too much too soon is a REAL THING! Be patient with your dogs! If you need help with advice on adjusting/acclimating, reach out!

Teaching your dog to find a specific odor can be fun, mentally stimulating, provide drive satisfaction, can help strengthen your relationship and is just freaking cool to watch! Obedience is great and can make life so much easier, but sometimes, you need to switch it up a bit and do something different!

Finding a simple activity to do with your dog can make a huge impact. We're very fond of adding some type of nose work to any dogs life. Tracking is a fantastic activity for both handler and dog! It helps build confidence, gives your dog a purpose and an outlet, as well as a great opportunity to bond and stretch your legs! Come out and give tracking a try!

Another successful Sunday at the South Ogden City Firehouse! 🚒🔥 We're so grateful for the opportunity to help expose our dogs to new noises, sights, smells and strangers! It's so important to get your dog out and show them the world in a positive way. Some dogs didn't skip a beat, and some had a harder time, but we take things slow and at their own pace, slowly building them up and continuing to expose them so eventually, life isn't so scary! Great job everyone and thanks again South Ogden!

We had an awesome time tonight for our end of the season pack walk. It's been great utilizing the trails as a new environment to work on the simplicity of loose leash walking. Thank you to everyone who's come out all year, as well as everyone who made it out tonight for our last walk with a beautiful sunset!
