🚙Transport Help Needed!🚙

We are looking for some additional volunteers to assist with transport from one of our partners in Bridgeport, PA to Patterson, NY. Pickup in PA is usually early afternoon but sometimes flexible. These transports are very urgent (often last minute) and a frequent need. We are looking for help on Saturday (08/10/2024) but will need future assistance with this trip as well. We provide crates and all supplies you need, and you get to be part of a lifesaving freedom ride.

Message from Finder: Dog friendly came up to my dog and played together which makes me believe it lives with other dogs. Yesterday morning was my first sighting and had Yorkie walking with him but this morning just him. Very sweet. Seems to stay in same area so either abandoned or gets out. No collar on

All of us at DCSPCA would like to express our gratitude to the incredible Dutchess County community for filling our donation bin with lots and lots of cozy blankets, towels, and other donations, to keep the animals of DCSPCA warm and clean during the cold days of winter. It takes a village to care for the animals, and in this case the village truly came together as a team. We are grateful.

Are you an animal lover with an abundance of blankets? DCSPCA urgently needs your support as our supplies of blankets, towels, and flat sheets are dwindling. Your donation of gently used, clean blankets (without tears or fringes), towels, and flat (not fitted) sheets will help us keep the animals comfortable and warm this winter.

Our donation bin is conveniently located right outside our front door and is ready for your contributions.

Each and every training device has its purpose and place. It takes a skilled trainer to be able to differentiate which device is applicable for your situation. You need to know your dog, and your trainer needs to know your dog, if they are unable to make this connection chances are training is going to go wrong. There are certain techniques that definitely do generally work but you have to be adaptable, each home is different each home is special and it needs to be treated as such. Personally I believe trainers hold a very valuable connection, a good trainer should be able to bridge the gap between The human experience and the animal experience and translate to the human what is going on potentially in the animal experience no one is going to be right 100% of the time but a good trainer will put their heart and soul into each and every dog they encounter. Just my late night thoughts on what a trainer should be able to do and the potential of each device, let's not forget that these devices were created with a purpose that purpose may or may not suit your need, when working with animals always keep an open mind..
