Perseus (aka Percy) has had a big week! He has joined our Friesian, Quintas, at the training barn in Walmea for his first 30 days of c**t training 🤓🐴. He settled in right away and is being such an awesome boy ⭐️. A big thanks to Selena for helping us bring him along with compassion and care. We’re so excited to see him progress! ❤️

🎉💜🐴We’re excited to announce that goodest boy Doodlebug has been adopted by an AMAZING family!! 🎉

Doodles will be living a new life full of love and adventures as a companion to a wonderful gelding who recently lost his longtime pasture mate.

This is what it’s all about folks. Our hearts are overflowing. ❤️. Thank you to everyone who supports us in our efforts to rescue and find loving, lifelong homes for these lovely equines.

The delivery of new hay is met with excitement by the babies 👩‍🌾🐴. They just couldn’t help sneaking a few nibbles 😄

It was spa and dental day for Gracie Lu! 💅🦷
Gracie now has beautiful pearly whites, although we discovered her front teeth are a bit wonky as a result a prior broken jaw 😕. Fortunately this doesn’t affect her eating.
Also, after a Huuuge team effort by the farrier and vet (Gracie is not a fan of picking up her feet), she got a much needed hoof trim. She’s now all set for a beach day with those beautiful toes 🌴🕶️. A big shout out to Marie Donahue and Dr Lutz Hunyadi for a successful morning!

We have big, and we mean BIG, news from Singing Whale Rescue 🎉👏😁.
After a few unanticipated delays, Gracie Lu Freebush has finally arrived ❤️
Gracie is an older (exact age still TBD), 17.1H ex-Amish draft horse who will live out her retirement days here at the farm. She needs a good feet trim, dental work, and time to learn what a well-deserved rest looks like. Reunited with her young pals who made the trip two weeks ago, she is settling in nicely. This girl is such a gentle lady 🌺

🐴💜 Fezzik 🐴💜

Mr chonk himself 😁💪. Fezzik is a 3 yr old mini mule who was a friendly but unhandled stallion when we pulled him from the kill pen. He’s since been gelded and doing great learning his ground manners! He particularly enjoys long, thoughtful chats when his mates aren’t aren’t around 🤓. Such a sweet guy this one.

This handsome boy is an in-your-pocket, goofy guy who became best buddies with Louisa during their time in quarantine. He’s a little on the.. ahem.. roly-poly side, so about to start a new weight loss program 😝. Shout-outs of encouragement welcome!
