Can we talk about tipping your groomer!?
First this isn't directed at any of my clients but it's something I feel like needs to be talked about. Let me explain grooming routine for you. 1. Your dog is checked in and checked over. 2. Your dog is bathed,fluff dried, ears cleaned, glands checked or drained. 3. Your dog is placed on the table brushed through completely and given a hair cut of your choice. Now if you are lucky and you have a good groomer then they are truly passionate about their job and they love your dog...no like really love and care for your dog. We don't get 2, 15 minute breaks and a lunch! Y'all if we are lucky we get a bag of chips. For your groomer to get to this point in her career she's paid out thousands of dollars for grooming school or put in hundreds of hours of hands on training to learn her trade not every one can groom dogs just ask some of your friends that tried. Did you know that groomers only make 50%!! That's right we only get to keep 50% of what we make the other 50% cover lights,utilities, credit card fees,shampoos, maintenance on his or her equipment all the things that keep us running. So let's say on average your groomer can do 6 small dogs at $40 each (national average is $50-60 for small dogs we are struggling in the saline county area little rock groomers charge more than us) that's just an average some of us have to bust our butts to the point of exhaustion to make ends meet so that's $240 a day that doesn't sound to bad does it but she only gets to keep $120 of that and then she gets taxed on that's so that averages around $12.63 an hour....y'all we can make more at McDonald's!! (Nothing is wrong with McDonald's it just takes no schooling or skill) If you love your groomer understand price increases and tip her because she would much rather love on your pups and be passionate about her job than flip burgers. Tip the scales and tip your groomers it may be the only thing that helps her help her family and keeps her doing what she loves 💙

I would not change my career for the world. I love my clients and their pups.

Amber has been a professional Pet Groomer since 2010. Her experience ranges from big corporate salons to small, hometown salons, and everything in between.

Her love of animals has been life-long, and began in early childhood. Growing up, there were always animals in her house. For a time, her family even fostered dogs and cats for a rescue group. She has always had a passion for animals, and has worked in the animal care industry for most of her life.

Amber strives to make grooming a fun and stress-free experience for every pet that she grooms. She takes great pride in her work and is a “Quality over Quantity” type of groomer. She believes that patience and trust are integral parts of grooming and is very in tune with animal body language. These combined qualities help her to give your pet the best experience possible.
