The Black Iron Tug x Outlaw Rhoxy pups just hit 5wks old, and are growing straight up rather than out. Some of these kids have legs, and a 6.8% COI😂. I had to mute the video, they were impatiently waiting on their meal. I wanted so badly to put them out today, but since we now have a ridiculously huge resident Bald Eagle at the house that likes to hang out over the dogs at low altitudes, uncovered pups are a definite no go. They are too little for the big covered puppy yard, so inside they stay until we get something safe figured out. Our resident hawks now seem to be long gone😂. Pups will be AKC and SABBS. Morning Surprise!
Drake and Bryant found another new bull calf bopping around in the field this morning when feeding. Unfortunately he was trying to nurse off of all the spectator cows and his mama was stressing out over the potential baby thief’s, so they moved the pair up front for a few days. The Wagyu are amazing moms👏🙏
The high winds ruined a lot of pics today with ears flapping in the wind😂. And then I later realized how tall the grass which hides part of their legs🫣👏.

Black Iron Diesel @ 26 months old. This is what a 221 lb Boerboel male looks like without being overly fat, sloppy and out of balance. While I don’t practice or promote breeding for such huge size, it still surfaces at times. And when it does I am always amazed at how big these guys can get. And he is just a baby!😂

Black Iron Tug
Black Iron Tug’s first collection taken on 12/24/2023 before being put on a 10 day extender and refrigerated. Today is Day 11, and I will post today’s video in the comments. It was placed on a warm slide for 1 minute 🙌👏. Yes the debri they are pushing around is from me handling the slide inappropriately 😂
I am about a week late posting, but here is a side shot of the big bratty male at 28 days old😆.
Boerboel Babies!!! 3wks old today…Black Iron Riff x Black Iron Tally pups🥰🥰. These kids are mama’s milk big, and now all around 8lbs. Today was day one on gruel which in this case is soaked Nutro Max adult with a little Dyne. The Nutro is a 22% protein and 14% fat adult dog food. We DO NOT use puppy food, as too much protein for some bloodlines can cause BIG growth issues. We want them to grow slow and steady. By this weekend they will be moved into the big box with the singleton KS Judge boy. I got asked earlier why two small litters, and the answer is timing. I was burned out and had planned on skipping both of the girls until Fall, but in both cases made a last minute decision to breed them. We had two late summer KS Judge litters of 12 and 15 pups, and my body and brain were TOAST. Summer litters are definitely not my preference, but our 2022 normal winter litter timing was off last year which put us with no choice but to have some summer babies. We do intend to have a limited amount of pairings between now and Spring 2024. We have some REALLY cool things happening later in 2024, so being slower than normal this winter will give me more time to focus on that:).
