Sonny just gets better and better! If you're looking for a level headed project, head on over to the Farmers & Ranchers Livestock sale in Salina this weekend. Ready and willing to learn, he's for sure going to be something special!
The sweet smell of grass and sound of chewing horses ππ€ π
Dry River Ranch
These two were rockin' and rollin' today! Glad to have our good weather back! ππ
Stay safe, stay home! Initially we had rain this morning and now it turned to this π¬π₯Ά spent some time towel drying the horses and moved some hay to their shed to help keep them warm!
Tired of your kids endlessly practicing the barrel pattern? If you aren't, your horse is π
mix it up for Christmas with the Christmas Tree π and Christmas Star β¨ Patterns ππ maybe even have friends over for a fun Christmas race π¦ππ
πβοΈ (if the kids get super confused with a new pattern, try adding numbers on the barrels to help them out! π)
I never got around to posting how grateful I am for my horses. Even on the days they make me come out and get them β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ They might eat a lot, but they will always be my most valuable asset π₯°
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Trail of Treats 2023 event in all sorts of weather! We had loads of Halloween fun and riders definitely learned lots of tricks and earned lots of treats! Be sure to follow our page so you don't miss our Easter ride and of course next year's Trail of Treats!
Pony Play Days are available for Christmas ππ π΄ If Santa can't bring a pony this year, our Mika is for sure the next best thing!
Cowboy doesn't just give lessons around here. He does some of the training as well π

It was kind of windy π¬οΈ but that didn't stop these two from continuing to build trust and confidence in each other β€οΈπ
The days get shorter, but our yearning for the saddle never sleeps.
Shout-out to this student! She's been learning how to longe these past several weeks and it has definitely improved her horsemanship and her horse! πβπ
The tire can be a fun challenge! This student didn't want to try it at first, but once convinced she should give it a go, she and Whiskey successfully went over it several times with lots of laughs in between!
Look at that side pass π π
I have also been working with Baby Jean for Pitts Performance Horses. Yesterday I ponied both him and Patty. We worked on walk, trot, whoa and back with me and Whiskey right next to them. See how Baby Jean improved? It's never about where you start, it's always about where you end π
The way he throws his head down and then grabs a bite reminded me of Cookie Monster......so π₯ meet Cookie πͺπππ₯°π
We spent some time practicing handling our horse on the ground yesterday. These two did great ππ
At least my horses are getting used to crossing water this summer π¦
π Thanks Lord for all the rain π§οΈ now if you could just send some 3 sided shelters and overhangs πThanks in advance ππβ₯οΈ
