Help us spread the word about the Woolly Worm Festival!

The Woolly Worm Festival celebrates fall colors, brings the community together, and is a festival that features the racing of woolly worms (aka banded woolly bears)!

This festival is a 36 year old tradition rooted in Lee County’s culture. The colors of the woolly worm is believed to forecast the weather for the coming winter season. The worm acted as a weather predictor for many old time farmers who would harvest crop and cut firewood in preparation for the upcoming winter.

Located on Main Street in Beattyville, KY the festival is a fun packed weekend for families and friends. Enjoy festival food, live music, over 150 vendors, classic car and truck show, parade, pet show, talent contest, corn hole tournament and more!

The City of Ravenna has been hosting the Railroad Festival since 2009. This Festival celebrates the City of Ravenna’s heritage by giving back to the industry that brought our small town to life.

Make plans to come down to the next Main Street Cruise-In event Friday night August 4th! The theme this month is all about the kids with a petting zoo, inflatable slide, sweet treats, games, music, and prizes. Just Jessica Photography will also be set up doing back to school photos. Check out the flyer for the list of what all is going to be there!

The first 30 classic cars, trucks, motorcycles who register will receive a dash plaque and be placed in a drawing for a door prize.

Events are made possible by Beattyville Main Street and its members, and the Beattyville/Lee County Tourism.

Future Cruise-In dates to mark on your calendars, are September 1st and October 6th!
