About a month ago while working, our director found a singular tiny kitten right where the blue heart sticker is.. no explanation was found on how such a small baby got there by himself. We checked several times to see if a mama or siblings could be found- nothing.
He was sick, starving and worm infested.. and only 5-6 weeks old. We weren't sure if he would make it to be honest.

HUGE thanks to our amazing board member Kaylee- she started fostering him and fronted all of his vet bills herself. It was definitely a struggle getting him on the right track, but because of her he is healthy, worm free and thriving now!

Kittens Kittens Kittens!!! We have kittens EVERYWHERE!

This litter was extremely unexpected, but everyone on the board agreed that we couldn't leave them where they were at. So now it's time to buckle down and commit!!!

We need to raise vet funds for them, it will be at least $200 for their appointments on September 12th - cans and bottles are accepted anytime and pickup can be arranged (Jackson Area)

We are still VERY much on intake hold, but while our entire board was on the way to a bonfire/get together - we saw a tiny kitten near the road struggling to breathe due to a respiratory infection. We immediately knocked on doors and started looking for the rest of the litter, turns out .. there were more. And they are all very sick. So meet- Asher, Woody, Tinkles, Sal, Edward and Jacob 🥲

Welcome to a better life little ones.. I'm sorry this world is so hard to navigate.

We are searching for any 501c3 rescues with the available space to transfer these sweethearts to before they aren't widdol babies anymore. They are estimated to be about 3 months old and can be split in pairs if necessary! Jackson Area!

Nikki Jones (possible alias of Mae Fournier) is NO LONGER associated with our rescue in any way shape or form.

She did intake for a pregnant cat yesterday under our name, didn't agree with our plan of transferring her as soon as another rescue had space- and then got upset we wouldn't let her fundraise without permission.

Now she has completely blocked all members of our board. It has also come to light that allegedly this has happened more than once in regards to collecting a pregnant mama and cutting all contact.
We are appreciative she caught the ducks and chickens from the treatment plant, but our team does not support the behavior she exhibited in our rescue chats and during this situation.

We are trying our best to recover the mama cat to ensure her safety, animal control has been contacted- if anything changes we will post updates.

⚠️STOP DUMPING DOMESTIC ANIMALS ⚠️

Huge shout out to our new volunteer Nikki and an awesome lady named Becca that donated some nets, because of these guys- the newest group of abandoned farm birds at the treatment plant have been secured. They all would have been dead by winter if they were left where they were.

Thankfully we already have placement lined up and they will be going to their forever farm tonight 💜

Today we made peanutbutter glazed pumpkin dog biscuits complementary with any donation of food/items/monetary. Donations $20+ will be entered in a raffle to win a whole basket of homemade pup treats! Right now, we are a foster-based rescue without an official building. Our fosters are entirely full, we are waiting on more TNR slots and are currently paying out of our own pockets to keep things running. Quacks and greetings from Laffy and Taffy! 🦆

These sweet babies were surrendered to us so they could have a better life, opportunities and care.They were very loved but ducks can be very tedious and overwhelming to care for, and their former owner had some medical issues come up unexpectedly.

Once quarantine is up, they will be going to a farm foster until adoption. If you'd like to adopt these cuties- you can fill out an application through the link on our page ❤️

We are still doing slow and steady TNR progress around Jackson. This year alone we have assisted with fixing almost 40 kitties and helped rescue at least 6 kittens!!!

Most TNR kitties get returned to where they were trapped, sometimes sadly that's not an option.

This is Chicken - he was caught on a farm we had cleared at the beginning of the year because the owner had to be moved to an assisted living facility, all the other kitties found amazing homes. The farm has new occupants related to the original caretaker, but they strongly dislike cats and refuse to have them around.
This sweetie was baited into a trap with rotten chicken, and now here we are... Another feral needing someone to care for him long-term.

He would be an excellent thermal controlled barn cat/garage cat- he's already fixed, so all you will need to do is provide adequate living space and food/water each day. Message us directly if you'd like to give this cutie pie a chance 🙏❣️

Whoever dumped DOMESTIC ducks at the Lansing Ave water plant pond- we hope you step on a whole case of Legos.

We spent severallll hours today catching the pets you had the audacity to buy but didn't even bother taking the time to rehome them properly.

Dumping domestic animals is illegal for a multitude of reasons. These ducks are starving and can't even fly away from predators, they were also attacking the wild ducks that actually belong there. They were not "better off"... They were almost handed a death sentence.

That being said- can ANYONE responsible take in two beautiful and smart duckies? We are not equipped for farm animals and are still very much on intake hold!

Jim (also known as Sir Jimothy Russet lord of the couch potatoes) is STILL up for adoption!!!
He's been with us for about a year now and he's HUGE, these pictures do not do his chonkiness justice 🤣

This handsome boi gets along with other kitties and hes good with kids that respect boundaries. He's not keen on dogs but will tolerate them if he has safe spaces and he will sit next to them..ifff he knows they are kenneled for the night lol

He is very vocal when he wants attention and he is such a loving cat, it makes it impossible to say no when he starts 'talking' and telling you why what you're doing isn't as important as he is! He also very much enjoys lounging in common spaces where he knows he's gonna get some pets and forehead kisses, he is literally just a giant snuggle baby at this point.. and amazing companion option for a kitty lover that is home often 💜

UPDATE: We are pleased to say that we have found placement for the remaining barn kitties at the abandoned property in Pleasant Lake.

But we didn't stop there..
We have been doing TNR allll over the city 💜
So far we have fixed TWENTY NINE kitties!

The majority of funding and supplies have come out of my personal finances, so if anyone is willing to donate wet food or potty pads from our wishlist.. we would be extremelyyy grateful.

Welcoming to the rescue, a lil chinchilla we call 'Toot'

For only being two years old, it seems she has had a rough life.. she's missing part of her tail somehow and she's extremely cautious when it comes to receiving treats and love. All she had in her small cage was a hammock and a plastic hide.
Regardless of this, she is still just the sweetest thing.. we could literally see the relief on her face when she got her first dust bath here. Once she learned how to jump on the ledges in her new enclosure, she was all over the place!!

Chinchillas are exotic animals, anyone that owns any form of exotic really needs to do proper research. Animals are more than a cute thing to look at!!!

We welcomed this beautiful dutch bun into the rescue todayy - say hello to Lilo 🐰 We are her third rescue, euthanasia was the next step if we weren't able to take her. We said yes to taking her right away. Rumor has it she has a bit of an attitude and knew her previous foster was scared of her and Lilo used that to her advantage. So we are gonna attempt to fix that and expose her true potential 💗 Her personality is already peeking out a little bit!
