After a 9 month hiatus, Figment and I made our debut back in the rally ring and earned his Rally Advanced Excellent (RAE) with scores of 99 in advanced and 100 in excellent!

Thank you so much to for putting on a womderful trial, to judge Brenda Crim-Critelli for her patience and expertise, and to our new friend for being an excellent trial buddy!

Now to brainstorm on the best trial schedule for my stinky slowpoke- he tends to slow down as the day goes on, especially if I sign him up for two rounds of triple Q! Physical endurance has never been his forte 😆

Figment is a versatile and biddable Australian Shepherd. He exhibits moderation in all aspects, as a true Aussie should.

Figment is an outgoing, intelligent, hard-worker who has a wonderful sense of humor. He is a softer dog, but not so soft that he has no substance. When he is on- he’s ON. I’ve never seen a more dedicated dog than Figment in work mode.

As a companion, Figment is a dream. He has no nasty male behaviors, and he has a fantastic off switch. Fig regularly accompanies us on hikes, to the beach, farmers markets, etc. but he is just as happy sleeping on the couch while we watch TV or entertaining himself with a chew.

Fig participates in a variety of sports including: Disc, Dock diving, FastCAT, AKC/UKC rally, and obedience. We have shown in UKC conformation and have some points towards his CH, but it’s not his favorite game to play (my fault for not exposing him to the show ring at an earlier age).

Figment could go far in both agility and herding with a more competent handler- I definitely hold him back 😅

Fig is a talented herder, currently working towards his AKC started titles with ducks and sheep. He has natural gathering and driving ability. As a softer boy, he could benefit to being taken to a female with more grit.

In addition to being a phenomenal performance and active companion dog, Figment is also a fully-trained working Service Dog. Fig performs a range of psychiatric, mobility, and medical alert tasks. He has a natural cardiac and migraine alert and picked up retrievals extremely fast.

This little one blows me away every time we go out and work (which, admittedly, isn’t as often as I’d like to as I’m so busy with clients!)

At five months and some change, she’s thick in a tough fear period, but she recovers and shakes it off like a rockstar.

She’s got the attention span of a goldfish, but when she’s focused, it’s like a laser aimed right at me.

This puppy is so confident, so willing to put her trust in me, and so dang fun to work 💚

Can’t wait to see what she grows up into.

Figment earned his Rally Master (RM) title today!

We started showing a little under two years ago in September of 2020. I am infinitely proud of how far Fig and I have come together as a team.

A HUGE thank you to his breeder, Meggn Ashley, for giving me the best service, sport, and companion dog I could possibly ask for.

Anyone who knows Tiki knows that this is a MASSIVE accomplishment for the two of us (we don’t call her “Crack Bird” for nothin’)
