HURRICANE WARNING NOTICE
To Our Valued Residents:
In view of the recent hurricane warning, we are requesting that all of our residents participate in preparing our community for the upcoming adverse weather conditions.
1. PLEASE REMOVE ALL ITEMS FROM YOUR FRONT DOOR, PATIO AREA, BREEZEWAYS, HALLWAYS, AND WALKWAYS. These items could become hazards if left out during strong winds. If you know that one of your neighbors is away, please contact the management office so that arrangements can be made to move their items.
2. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN ADEQUATE SUPPLY OF CANNED GOODS, BOTTLED WATER, AND BATTERIES. Flashlights and battery-operated radios are good to have on hand. If you have no bottled water on hand, fill a bathtub or sink with fresh water. You may also want to ensure that you have a full take of gasoline in your car and extra prescription medicines on hand, if applicable. Do not store extra cans of gasoline in your apartment.
3. STAY TUNED TO AREA WEATHER UPDATES. If evacuation is required, please follow instructions provided by local authorities.
4. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE POOL AREAS, TENNIS COURTS, RACQUETBALL COURTS, LAUNDRY ROOMS, ETC. AT THIS TIME.
5. IF YOU SHOULD HAVE A VEHICLE IN THE BOAT PARKING AREA, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THE COVER IS SECURED OR REMOVED.
6. MAKE NECESSARRY ACCOMODATIONS FOR ANY PETS.

IF A HURRICANE SHOULD OCCUR, follow local authority advisory instructions.

Good Morning,

Though we have not warnings at this time it is a wise idea for each of you to take time to prep for high winds. Please take time today to remove all outdoor items from your patios and balconies. Leaving items outside could cause them to become dangers during high winds. If you are evacuating the area, remove the items prior to leaving. If your items cause damage to the property you could be charged for the repairs.

Please monitor the local weather and authorities for any preparation that will need to be made further. Planning for a power outage is a good practice as well. Have batteries and water on hand in the event to an outage.

Also, the pool will be closed Tue to Fri so that we can secure the pool furniture during the winds.

We are continuing to monitor the news and will continue to update you as needed. Thank you for your cooperation.

A good idea for a protein snack is boil eggs prior to storm. If you loose power they can be a great snack. Remember to keep them in the cooler though. They can last one week in bowl of water refrigerated. If not kept cool discard.

If we experience power outages you can check the "power outage map" at JOEMC's website. So if you evacuate and want to check the status before you return log into their website for the information. Also, If you evacuated, buy food on the way home in the event that the grocery stores are closed or low on stock.
