A teaser of this morning’s find. Story and pics will be posted tonight 💪🧡
We were privileged to be part of something beyond special this morning. Pics and story will follow once I can find the words
PSA regarding hunting arrow setups
Update from this b.s. training line🤪
Dexter was eavesdropping on a phone conversation that I had this evening with another tracker. He’s been bothering me ever since 😂🤣
This was a good one and it challenged Dexter. His first challenge was slowing down. He wanted to be a nut this morning and run this one fast. We restarted with a half hitch looped around his waist. He didn’t like it at first, but it’s very effective. He had no problems with the areas that were disturbed earth/damaged vegetation. Spent a few minutes in the scent pool, attempting to find the way out. The very end challenged him. Rising thermals, me taking very long strides and tip toeing the last 40yds had him confused. All in all, he did great problem solving throughout.
Train How You Fight 🧡💪
Dexter gets a whiff before I head to lay a few lines for him
Another young local pup that will be in need of some known dead’s this season. Fuji is a young Jagd/Patterdale cross. Her drive is something special. It was a joy to watch her excitement. Don’t let the size of this pup fool you, she is so much dog💪🧡
Dexter ran a very good track on this 1/2 mile, 17hr old line this morning. Dry conditions and swirling winds weren’t ideal. I struggled way more than what Dexter did 😂🤣. He had issues on a right turn towards the end and had to be brought back to the line twice to figure it out. Very happy for his performance on some already used up back hooves. I already took a shot to the eye from a freaking pine branch. Time to invest in a Darren Minor helmet with a visor😉
Dexter hits the lawn and goes into instant hunt drive 😂🤣😂
Some training line shenanigans for Bonnie this morning
Still one of my favorites from last season 💪🧡
