"I took Stella to Chick-fil-A today. It's our normal daddy/daughter spot. It's clean, so good, and the playground has a tractor beam on her the moment she sees it. When we finished eating and she'd worked up her dessert appetite playing with the other kids, we went back to trade in her toy for ice cream. She wanted to sit at a table to eat the cone (something we usually do in the truck), and I'm so glad she did. We took a booth right next to the spot where you wait for your drink to be "refreshed," and we had a front row seat to this beautiful scene: a homeless traveler had walked in and asked if they had any extra food. Mud was wet and caked on his well-traveled shoes. His hair was matted, and his beard wasn't a statement as much as it was a necessity and a sign that he doesn't get to shave as often as most of us do. People near him kept their distance, but that didn't stop him from being kind. He spoke to people who reluctantly spoke back, and he smiled while he waited on a manager. All I could pick up on of the conversation was the manager saying that he'd love to give him a full, warm meal--not just scraps or extras--, and the only thing he required was that the man let him pray with him.

After the homeless man agreed, there was no waiting for things to die down, there was no scooting anyone to the side. As busy as they were, the manager stopped then and there, laid his hand on the man, and proceeded to pray. I heard love in that prayer. The homeless man wasn't some untouchable stain on business. He was the reason that store opened its doors this morning (or any morning). I asked Stella to watch and she stared. She asked what was happening and when I told her, she bowed her head, too. I realized then and there that Chick-fil-A doesn't simply do business for profits, they truly use business to minister. In a time when companies are trying to win in the market by neutralizing any possibility of offense, CFA is thriving because they unwaveringly cling to their principles and purpose. I love teaching my daughter life lessons, and I also love being there to watch other Christians teach her life lessons. Thank you, Chick-fil-A, for taking care of the latter today."

This is Matrix movie star Keanu Reeves. He was abandoned by his father at 3 years old and grew up with 3 different stepfathers. He is dyslexic. His dream of becoming a hockey player was shattered by a serious accident. His daughter died at birth. His wife died in a car accident. His best friend, River Phoenix, died of an overdose. His sister battled leukemia.
No bodyguards, no luxury houses. Keanu lives in an ordinary apartment and likes wandering around town and often seen riding a subway in NYC.
When he was filming the movie "The Lake House," he overheard the conversation of two costume assistants, one crying as he would lose his house if he did not pay $20,000 - On the same day, Keanu deposited the necessary amount in his bank account. In his career, he has donated large sums to hospitals including $75 million of his earnings from “The Matrix” to charities.
In 2010, on his birthday, Keanu walked into a bakery & bought a brioche with a single candle, ate it in front of the bakery, and offered coffee to people who stopped to talk to him.
In 1997 some paparazzi found him walking one morning in the company of a homeless man in Los Angeles, listening to him and sharing his life for a few hours.
In life, sometimes the ones most broken from inside are the ones most willing to help others.
This man could buy everything, and instead every day he gets up and chooses one thing that cannot be bought.

Born after 21 weeks 6 days in the womb, after six months in the NICU, after his parents were told that there was a 0% chance of survival when his mother went into preterm labor, and was told that they should provide “comfort measures only” upon his birth, this handsome little fellow proved them all wrong!

Grandsons spent their first night in my new house and of course they wanted to ride Major!!!! I gave one his first official lesson!!! It was amazing passing the torch to my oldest grandson who truly loves riding!!! The youngest got up early to go fishing in the pond and of course caught 2 bream right away🐟🐠!!!! Then he took a ride on Major and gave him a few treats!!! Horses bring out the Best in all of us🥰🐴🙏🙏🙏!!

: This week takes us back to 1936. Prior to purchasing Boone Hall Plantation, Harris McRae was a fruit grower sales agent and a produce broker who bought and shipped crops grown on the plantation that were loaded on flat bottom boats like the Eva May seen here. Produce was loaded onto the boats from the Boone Hall Dock House also partially seen here...then taken to Charleston Harbor to be shipped to Philadelphia and New York by railroad.

LOOK who visited today and took a lesson on Major, C**T PRATTES!!!! He’s a fantastic actor and dancer who’s in Charleston with a great role in Aladdin 🤩🤩. He was in Westside Story on Broadway, Shared the stage with Pink dancing to the song TRY, and so much more! I truly enjoyed meeting C**t and giving him a few pointers to enhance his horseback riding skills🐴🐴.
