CenterPoint Energy and Houston Habitat for Humanity have asked us to help them get the names of homeowners who need their weatherhead replaced before CenterPoint can restore their power. They are offering this service for free! (It is normally the homeowner's responsibility.)

If your weatherhead is damaged and you want CenterPoint to provide a new weatherhead, email Kevin Vargas at [email protected]. He is compiling a list for CenterPoint and will need your name, address, and phone number.

My first job was making $3.35 an hour.
What was yours?

I think I made $2.00 hour working at Baskin Robbins in Long Beach, Ca., which was at least 50 cents under state minimum wage because I was a minor. They didn't have to pay minimum until you turned 18. Yet, I had the keys to the store and opened by myself every Saturday and Sunday, and closed the store, including closing out the register, most week nights. Placed orders for stock. I was also in charge of making the ice cream cakes and pies :) I feel like most kids today aren't given that much responsibility. Are they?
I sure had a lot of fun at that though! Sweet memories
